It is allowing foreign non-resident investors, government policy which allows institutions to scoop up multiple properties and rent them and finally not taxing multiple home ownership sufficiently by resident individuals which all come together to push up land / house prices.

It is also down to a culture where everyone feels they are entitled to own their own home. Not everybody will have an income to afford to buy their own home, that is the simple reality.

Lloyds and their relationship with landlords does stick in my craw a bit, but there we go...

It seems to be the trend these days to leak a lot of the budget in advance, which would have been severely frowned on, once upon a time.

What has been leaked it would appear is being positively received.

Rachel needs to be tough in her approach to balance the books!

Equally she needs to be seen to be fair handed, whilst not breaking election promises.

But banks up, the day before the budget is really looking good!!!
