Hartley, I'm not really looking to go down the path of a political discussion on here, as they typically explode into an off-topic discussion, but I will respond to the point you made.

Yes, I completely agree and from afar, things look absolutely abysmal in the UK now and I'll be back there soon.

I think successive governments through their incompetence and poor decision making have scuppered the UK!

I think the generations of hearos who died defended the country in WW1 & WW2 must be turning in their graves!

What I need to do now is decide how long I will remain invested in Lloyds and my other stock, before liquidating everything, before the whole stack of cards comes tumbling down, so yes the the state of play of the UK economy, wider geo-political tensions and the global economy, as well as the performance of individual stock all come to play here. I am totally overexposed in stocks, especially in banks and I have ridden this bull run without jumping out yet, like some who have sold in tranches!

My finger is hovering over the sell button and its a tough call...

Actually, I agree with you that we need growth (for Lloyds and the economy in general to prosper) and that is lacking in the package of measures they have delivered, but I found you analysis skewed towards negativity, hence making it more politically motivated post, as opposed to a balanced analysis.

But also going into December next week, when retail sales rocket and the stock market follows suit (santa rally season), a fair wind and £1.00 should be on the cards soon...
