Yes, but I maintain "hey would I but CEY when I lose half my proftis"... when "if I go into Egypt and there are lost of new concessions out there, and I don't get battered with the 50/50 share, in fact a lot less"... so my question remains, why would I buy CEY? I'm very disappointed that has the 50/50 didn't change when new concessions were offered at a much better rate- especially have CEY have constantly given a lot of money to Egypt with the 50/50--- what price loyalty? Where's the loyalty benefit? As for the SP, the "jam tomorrow" remains. Need s strong Q1 and Q2 and so on to demonstrate the turnaround. Sorry to sound less optimistic, but this is how I see CEY- am frustrated about the lack of share purchases by the Board- especially as they are so well renumerated- I'd sooner see Horgan's salary slashed by 80%, along with the rest of the board, and have them being paid on SP performance. Have been trading this one over the years, and accept the poor management in the past, but do think they owe more to the average shareholder.....

This is really good news, of course it may not go through, but we know how good the brand is and the bargain basement SP and recent results have been positive and things are turning to the positive.

Aren't new concessions offered at a much improved rate split eg a lot less than 50% going to government? Unlike we are with at sukari? Isn't this a block for any takeover? Why would newmont coming in be good?

Nothing not anticipated- when this announcement is made get some wild swings , then we get the Powell commentary and more swings then the analysts have their take and a few more - then it settles to back to where it was pre announcement ... mostly when the headline was as expected

18:00 GMT today- pretty much nailed in amount, anything else will cause wild swings- shame this always occurs when UK markets shut

Yep agree 100%- they all need to buy more shares and with what he has been saying for some time now on turn around etc timing would really help provide a much needed underlining demonstration of confidence

Jam tomorrow - but we knew that- never know how much is priced in on or not, but be very surprised if this isn't a drop day alas. Following this, q1 results and subsequent ones are obviously key to show an up turn from the down downturn- words are only good when subsequent actions prove them.

A 2 minute google shows multiple other things that do not mirror the crash of 1929. Equally, the same argument has been posted sooooo many times since 1929 - anyone who listened to this in the last 92 years or so would have missed out on an absolute fortune since then. Not saying that anything is not possible, but to say the world is a different place now on all fronts is an understatement. I recall same comments posted most recently and subsequently over past coule of years when markets dropped March2020... Look what happened then, gold dropped with everything else, not as severe but dropped about half of the markets... CEY dropped as bad as all stocks though.
