The problem is with the term crypto... leaders, like BTC, ETH etc will become less volatile as more and more institutions buy in which is happening at an ever increasing rate. On the investment spectrum, it will always be the most risky (until a new thing comes along), with mining stocks becoming the next most risky and so on, can't see this changing for some time yet... there will also be "new" coins (new "alts") on the market- that get taken up, then get battered like tech start up's do if you invest into to those private firms...

The obvious reason which so many forget, CEY is a stock and not gold!
Look at the markets in general...

Change your online system, quoted but didn't press button and it was instant- just checked my online tracker of buys and sells and flooding through as normal so no idea why you had an issue.

Inflation hits production costs- plus gold is where is was 1 year ago and silver is lower- FRES is simply mirroring that...
Fres is a stock so gets hit when others are hit on inflationary pressures etc- it's old school thinking on the hedge side- buy gold but beware as it yields nothing....

It's not just gold price though- look at my previous post - gold has risen ~45% in last 5years...

Take the ~4p divi off on XD Date 19th May2022 and should the SP remain around this level CEY will be lower than the lowest price in the last 5 years, April2019 five year low price of ~79p- now @78.7 as I type.
Interesting to note that although gold was @~$1280, in 2018 CEY produced ~472k oz of gold, with an AISC of $884...
CEY has lost ~50% of it's value in the last 5 years, but it's not as bad as that if factor in the amount of dividends paid out...
We all know the history here, lower production since the issues in October2020 and recent inflation causes a perfect storm for the increase is AISC which many investors view as a key component for investment decisions...

Yes, this company is a great position- this is not a fire sale! The don't need to sell, interest and offers coming in as bidders know this, and are trying to bag a bargain.

I don't think it will drop back down a lot as the offers and Board responses clearly show how undervalued the company is. If they don't sell it's cos much more value is there. This is not a failing company as has been turned around, hence all this interest. There was no interest when the SP was far lower (so they could have bought far cheaper), this was before the recent turn round which has been consistent and demonstrating dealing with the tough fundamental issues they had at the time of the much lower SP.

I did like Ted's response in the RNS- this offer massively undervalues
