RE: It's over for crypto19 Jun 2022 17:40
Let's gets some facts - I said sall time time highs and it's the case that they're similar drops from all time highs ~220GBP and ~68kUSD (similar). BTC 1 year drop ~-38%, CEY ~-26%, 5 year CEY drop ~-52%, BTC up ~+750%. I went into crypto just over 5 years ago with just 1% of my assets, as posted here ages ago and got my original investment out- so am still prepared to lose the lot but equally it could grow enormously, it's still massively higher than my CEY gains though, plus crypto has the potential make me far richer far quicker then CEY- but also more likely to be zero'd- hence my investment balance. I have invested in the major cryptos and avoided the gazillion small ones- but each to their own. The way I see it, is balance- eg smallest amount in highest risk eg crypto with my next highest risks being goldies like this and my houses being lowest risk (and for now they still are and I don't see rentals going down soon- none of the tenants are expecting a reduction!). It does make me laugh when people slate crypto as losing money and spread happy to lose shed loads on travel stocks, retail stocks, gold stocks, etc etc ...
