Based on your logic of picking the highest ever shareprice as a starting point, I don't think any BoD member of any company would have added value.

You'll have to explain how expecting things to be released in line with what has been communicated in the RNS's is rampy Mr_Wolfe.
And an ostritch? You'll have to explain that one too. I'm more than happy to acknowledge there is a risk things aren't going to plan, but no one can really point to any evidence other than "the BoD aren't saying anything" or "it's taking too long". Neither of which hold much sway with my views given NDA's and the complexity of any deal in the current war.
All in all, I feel the potential reward outweighs the potential risk.

I don't see it as being too surprising. BoD will always have insider info.
Allowing them to take up options seems like BAU. The issue is if they are allowed to sell them. If they aren't, then I see no problems.
Clearly, if they decide not to take up massively in the money options, when they are allowed to do so, it may be a bit of a red flag that things aren't what they seem.

If anything, it's a statement to say "might be a little bit later than we said, but by the end of the year"

Interest rate rises don't stop me from continuing the process of purchasing a house, but they will mean I have to save up a larger deposit so it will potentially delay my purchase.

That is how I see the war as having a delay on things.

You say you are finding it harder to trust the BoD and don't believe they are being straight with you. That sounds like you have doubts about this as an investment.
Whilst it may be worth more tomorrow, it may also be worth less.
Why would you keep your money invested if you don't feel you can trust those running the company?
