I don't think the NC / SolG situation has any real bearing for a couple of reasons;

It pre-existed Haveiron, at a time when NC were desperate to increase reserves.
Newcrest have recently increased their exposure to Ecuador so job done there.
Cascabel isn't 45km from Telfer - NC very focused on ROCE and Hav (and possibly other nearby, yet to be drilled resources), are a far better bet if it's a large as we all believe.
Australia is politically more stable than Ecuador - if the resources are on your doorstep then it makes perfect sense to mine there.
I'm not expecting a divorce, amicable or otherwise, anytime soon. The current JV suits both parties.
Lots of other reasons as well I expect but the kitchen, and a nice cold bottle, are calling.

All the evidence to date suggests that Newcrest will mine this resource.

A large number of people on here have been convinced of that for some time now.

Newcrest will stick to the terms of the JV. Any talk about a takeout of GGP is simply wrong . it's just not going to happen in my opinion. Haveiron maybe but it's at least 12 months away yet. Newcrest work on return on capital employed with regards to their investments and until MRE, but more likely PFS, they will not make an offer.

In the meantime, we will start drilling again and positive results may result in another JV - I expect this will be with Newcrest again.

Personally couldn't care less who buys or sells.

I trust the management; believe the assets hold huge potential and will continue to hold at least until WN is proven and flipped.

If that all works out then I'll have a re-think. I'm not trading, so other peoples strategies are irrelevant to me.

My thoughts are if you bought a few shares today then you obviously think it's a good time to buy and haven't missed the spike.
As for the SP? I'm not one for predictions - if I was a chartist I'd say if it goes up a bit then it might go up a bit more. If it drops then it might drop a bit more. It all depends on whether a line crosses another line and you have a double bottom and then you can have some bollinger.
No offence but I've been here for years and it's not always been a barrel of laughs.
For what it's worth, I think it will ok. Don't know when exactly but we're an awful lot closer to finding out one way or another

tom, I'm not sure a 'significant visible mineralisation' RNS would add upwards of 160M to our market cap.
Be nice if it did but I think we're far more likely at this stage for Hav to add the value

You only need to look at Hav and time from our first drill to where we are now - when we start drilling it's not going to add huge value overnight.

I agree, we shouldn't be rushing into any JV's with anyone until we have a good idea of what we have on our other licences.
With regards to the MRE, this is merely the first step in a process. We will still own 60% at this stage. Yes, we might get an offer at that stage but my view is they'll continue with the farm-in through to PFS at least. We'll have a much better idea of the true value of Hav at that stage.
In the meantime, we have sufficient funds to drill other targets and I hope we do.

Reasonably soon TMT? Assuming we hang on in there until Haveiron is mined then you're looking at 2 years from now minimum.
Even if we waited, we'd still be a junior explorer, albeit one with a large wedge of cash. It certainly wouldn't mean we could go it alone on Scallywag or any other target. It's just not going to happen.
Drill holes, find stuff then JV with a major and keep a percentage. It's what we do and I can't see things changing anytime soon.
There's still going to plenty left for us shareholders

I think it's quite interesting that Humber are selling bits and pieces of their interests but seem keen to hang on to a chunk of Biscathorpe, which is some way from providing a return just yet.
From what we know, you'd have thought maybe they'd have sold all of Biscathorpe and waited for an earlier catalyst at WN.
I've started early on the wine today but maybe Biscathorpe will turn out to be the 'daddy' in due course

The whole point of the 5% at fair market value clause was that they would, by then, have a pretty good idea of the size of the resource. You can't establish fair market value after MRE - we still have 8km of drilling to complete in the next 12 months.
