I don't disagree with you. I think the point I was trying to make Is that GH selling a very small % of his holding is not particularly newsworthy for any long term holders who are well researched in the company and prospects.

Yes, the news may well have a price impact on our stock, but only in the very short term. If one was looking to sell as the news came out I'm quite sure it would be annoying. Otherwise, and for the amount he sold, it's inconsequential in my view.

There is a danger here of getting wrapped up in a macro view. There's nothing wrong with reacting and commenting on any news that comes out , but sometimes I think over analyising the small details makes one forget the big picture.

A crap analogy would be the construction of a building. Anyone watching the construction of the building simply sees start to finish - you see the foundations and you know it's getting built. You don't see, or worry about, issues with electrics or plumbing along the way, although they're undoubtedly there.

We know, as much as we can as outsiders, that Hav is going to be mined. Everything else is just noise while we wait and will not change that fact.

Rarely seen such a non issue cause so much angst - I can only assume it's the 'between reports' speculation, anxiety, bloody-mindedness and 'bored waiting' mentality kicking in.

Well, you're all going to have to wait. There's no rush unless you're attempting to trade this. Value will out and all that.

It will be a relief when we start drilling. At least then, no one will know when the next news is due (although I suspect we'll have pages and pages of speculation).

In the meantime, the tomatoes need watering, the grass needs cutting etc etc. While all that's going on, Newcrest are still drilling the arse out of Hav and the golds going nowhere.

Bearing in mind we were, for all intents and purposes, 'dead in the water' 3 months ago, this has been quite the turnaround.

Price predictions as ever were ludicrously wide of the mark and are the preserve of the ramping crew, who should be ignored, or at least given a wide berth.

True value will come when we have some more flesh on the bones but this is a terrific start. Well done Mr Mullholland and team.

I seem to recall that the issues around requirements for the mining lease were discussed following the release of the RNS back in early June.
Although my memory is.......what was I saying? Ah yes, not what it was. Pretty sure that Newcrest could avoid producing an MRE at this stage provided that they had sufficient drill data to support the application. They certainly have that.

In terms of timing for the MRE, I've always felt it would be very late this year. I've seen nothing to change that view but could of course be totally wrong. Whenever it comes, I think it will have been worth the wait

Bear in mind that Newcrest wasn't the only offer on the table for HAV. What swung it was, I believe, the existing infrastructure sitting next door. This is a massive advantage in terms of any future capital outlay. So yes, I think Newcrest got a good deal, but I also think we got a great deal as well.
As for Scally, I can't see us turning it into a swiss cheese before the next JV. Bearing in mind the consensus seems to be that its bigger than Hav, how long would that take? Three years plus? Without the resources of a major behind us?
For me its about drilling some holes, hopefully finding something that someone wants and straight to a JV before moving on to the next target. Repeat ad infinitum.
I would hate us to end up in a position like SOLG - plenty of juicy targets but it must be 3 years of drilling Cascabel so far and still not at BFS stage. Its done the share price no favours either.

Ongold - Newcrest have completed the requirements for Stage 2 and are now working towards Stage 3. They will not earn in a further 20% until PFS and spend is complete.

Newcrest themselves have said July 2021 for PFS, which would explain why they plan to drill a further 80,000 Metres before then.
So much to look forward to and that's just Hav.
It's going to get very interesting if we hit decent grades in any of our other targets as well.

I'm delighted there's still no MRE. Thought for some time they would get as much in there as possible and it seems to be the case. Good things are worth waiting for.

Last RNS was timely and very specific re time to complete so, for once, I'm confident that we'll have news Monday at some stage.
Had a slightly twitchy trigger finger earlier above .40 but I've waited this long so I can wait another few days.
Price held up well I thought - bearing in mind the anticipation of an early RNS.
If news is positive then we're going to fly for sure - here's hoping.
