I bought this morning!!
The more I think about, the more worried I am about what is actually under the bonnet and hence why they didn’t let the bidders look at the books to improve their offer/ shy 2 directors left all of a sudden

Having said that I am pleased lord Allen bought a lot of shares which gives me confidence to hold to Barclays target (albeit I will be monitoring up new ingenuity websites closely as it hinges on this given how low it seems the rest of the business Ebitda margin is-))

My fear is Pandora’s box has finally been opened. Going to start unwinding my position once/ if we get near the Barclays offer and hope we get a separation update that moves this above 100

What is so shocking is that Barclays aren’t being negative at all- but they can only see a SP at 100p and this is totally reliant on ingenuity numbers being hit
Beauty and nutrition Margin in 2022 and 2023 are woeful (1% moving to 2%)

They also say cash will be at best 100m until they break even in 2025 meaning aquisitons aren’t possible and SoftBank option is v unlikely

The best bet is separation and sum of parts valuation

Agree the £1m purchase by the Lord is amazing news
This is the only positive news we have had in a long while. I think THG is a good business - I view it as a great motor u fee a crap chassis.
Lord Allen needs to make the chassis beautiful by liking all the dead weight (in the Board, in the management team, reducing staff count, reducing admin costs, speeding up automation across full network, updating on strategy etc )

The management team are poor- to obsessed with hyperbole and to often missing bottom line / profit numbers

I meant they are also a house broker along with Barclays
The note only says 100p reduction form 150p equal weight (they were previously over weight but changed to equal weight and kept SP 150p) now equal weights at 100

I am amazed SP cannot see the significance of the house broker (along with Jeffries) reducing the Share price from 150p to 100p

But Barclays dropping from 150 to 100 is significant, esp as they are or at least were a house broker of THG and helped bring it to IPO
the sell of today is strong so market is taking this seriously
The bad news is never ending with this share, and I cannot fathom why 170 (let alone anything higher) was rejected

Took 34 mins for the predicted 5% drop…well done THG. 170p+ undervalued this shed…what are they smoking over there

I am sure both citi and Barclays have their good and bad points- likely both have agendas

But it is clear that if offers were made near £2, thg have mugged us off as I don’t care if a company has debt once I don’t own it anymore

No chance this is getting anywhere near £2 now for a long long while (even if deserved to, people would consistently sell into it preventing it)

Probably - seems today is going to be another fantastic day as a THG holder- guessing they will push for a min 5% drop
No doubt we will be the only company dragged into the mess that is made.com (even though we couldn’t be further from it)
