board need a plan to combat this, as never witnessed it on any other share. they need buyers (ie premium listing allowing trackers and also UK II (if any are interested) or they need to buy (buy back/ more director buys) or better private TO at 1.70+

otherwise death by a thousand cuts will go on indefinitely as the results are unlikely to materially re rate in this macro environment

although i would say, I have never experienced a share that will look for any news whatsover to allow it to drop big, and ignore any news that will allow it to rise

there is so little read across, except for maybe the ingenuity D2C website in US
1/ revolution beauty sells to retailers so is reliant on them, THG does not, it owns its consumer focused selling tools
2/ revolution is one brand. THG ranges products from over 1000 brands (so boots would be a better read across)
3/ revolution beauty is only beauty; THG is beauty yes, but also has nutrition, ingenuity and other divisions

I think shareholders can be described as 'beleaguered ' though. I have never hated owning a share more tbf

Kniwbodyyouknow- absolutely right. Ingenuity profit margins are key. Ingenuity hitting its top line targets have to be done (108-112). Any upgrade here would re rate. Risk is that companies that may use ingenuity are not deploying cap ex in these macro economic conditions. View is q2 (like q1) new websites could be light

Looking at the facts, Nasdaq up 3% and futures up. E-commerce sector up. Thg flat at best so far. No conspiracy, there’s just no support from the buy side as there are too many unknowns

Barclays was unnecessarily bearish- we can all guess the reasons, but it spooked the market as it’s not often a house broker analyst goes against their client.
Citi seemed more reasonable but focused a lot on just beauty

Both agree separation could unlock value. And it is here that the management owe us an update. Sept is too far away (and would be a year after they confirmed moulding would give up his golden share and they would move to premium listing), the point being Thg are terrible at steering the market, meaning analysts are guessing in their assumptions.

This is not healthy and can give the odd analyst reports and SP movements

I am very surprised we are not seeing significant buying support today- highlighting how unpopular this share / company continues to be

It’s not often a house broker issues a big warning on one of its own clients. Thg is almost un investable now

Rich you are spot on buddy- all about margins. Barclays do show their 2023 assumptions but you are right
If things improve materially, thg will be upgraded as margins get better
But they need to share with analysts each divisions margins otherwise why the hell have shareholders had to have 20m of cash prowess j tj the separation project. What benefit does it give? SoftBank ain’t happening. PE can’t happen unless they show each division margin etc etc

And they caveat that thg needs to disclose each division margin (which they still don’t FFS) so their own house broker have had to guess and done so at 2-3%
