They can’t release market sensitive information selectively (eg to those attending the AGM). It would have to be RNS’d first in order to ensure it’s available to all investors.

ZIOC will (I expect!) need shareholder approval for what is proposed. Shareholders need to be all over this like a rash, starting with the AGM… Who’s going?

Agreed. I think they (ZIOC board) will be pressed to reveal more about the terms of the marketing agreement, as the business is basically impossible to value without this. Whether or not this matters to the other parties involved is a key point. One to watch.

It is interesting to see some movement here. It isn’t possible to assess the implications of this announcement for existing/prospective ZIOC equity owners without some more colour on the agreement regarding “marketing rights” though.

“Zanaga Iron Ore Company Limited ("ZIOC" or the "Company") (AIM: ZIOC) is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Glencore Projects, for the acquisition of Glencore Projects' controlling shareholding in the Project, located in the Republic of Congo through the purchase of Glencore Projects' 50% plus one share interest in Jumelles, an entity which indirectly holds the benefit of the Project's mining licence, for a minority shareholding in ZIOC. ZIOC and MPD, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Jumelles which holds the benefit of the Project's mining licence, have also entered into a Marketing Agreement with Glencore International, which will take effect immediately prior to Completion, for the sale and purchase of all future iron ore production from the Project…”

Decent RNS.

Lionhead are the proverbial monkey with a nut in a bottle here… They have a tight grip on the economics of the project, but more capital is needed and they’ll have to loosen their hold if they are to succeed. The question for equity holders is whether management can negotiate their way through this. If they can, then the current MCap is an attractive proposition for investors.

PME in the context of Solgold = Price Monitoring Extension. A process instigated by the exchange when a periodic auction doesn’t deliver a clearing price. Relevant to UT prices.

PME in your linked article = Public Market Equivalent. A valuation metric/methodology sometimes adopted for privately held companies. Nothing to do with UT prices!

Two completely different topics….

About 50 reported trades all day so far, and only a handful of them above £5k. Traded value only £100k in total.

No "big selling" and nothing "relentless" in the reported prints. Price action may indicate unreported (as yet) trades, or it may just be an attempt to trigger some flow. Not possible to say with any certainty at this point.

Posters in this discussion aren’t allowing for the blue pill guzzling LSE audience for whom it is an article of faith that market makers REDUCE the price of shares in order to encourage people to sell (sorry, to “…rob them of their golden tickets…”). The forces of supply and demand somehow are widely perceived to work differently here, with any cognitive dissonance experienced by participants explained away by crackpot theories on market manipulation “big boys”, “mates rates”, “city spivs” etc. T’was ever thus…

Price action hasn’t been a reliable indicator here in the past and there have been plenty of phantom rises, but never say never… I don’t do bottom-drawer shares but have hung onto a few of these. We’ll see.
