As per articles, the largest users of Middle East oil are now going to transition to a more secure energy supply, there will be many many more Coal, Nuclear, wind and solar power stations. The Middle East countries in OPEC have in the past pumped like crazy to retain market share like they did to confront the threat of US shale oil production. A Nuclear armed Iran wouldn't be good for anyone including the UK and BP shareholders..If Kier Starmer was the Prime Minister in 1939 there would be a Nazi Flag flying over Downing Street and Buckingham Palace now! Tough unpalatable decisions sometimes have to be made to secure the future for all. Unfortunately because NATO is a "Paper Tiger' this problem with Iran, Russia and China will surely come back again and our spineless European Liberal leaders will be too busy talking tough to do anything about it. Exactly, net debt down 80%...in just 2 years and now in a much better financial position than most FTSE companies, but the market still hasn't taken any notice at all, that is a result of the CEO misleading investors for many years it seems? ..
