Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Mkdv of course to enter.
You know my parents live near Dresden and actually on May I wanted to visit them. On this Occasion I wanted just quickly checking Cinovec to make me a picture. But there is a problem, at moment boarder crossing isn't that easy. You need a Corona Test to enter Czechia and later enter back Germany. But we will see.
Im convinced that Czechia want that mine so though that they will pay some subsidies for the mine beside the EU subsidies from Brüssel.
Meanwhile Volkswagen is already building 1000 electrocars in Zwickau daily. Goal are 1400. This makes 500k cars a year. Can somebody count how much lithium that is? 40Kg in one car right? Will they not run out of lithium at some time...? They are supplied by LG and soon CATL plus Northvolt.
All Batteries came with a fully automized train to Zwickau as I mentioned before.
Plant Zwickau in a short video.:

Fully automized train loading and unloading system. 5 hours for one train. And a VW electro truck (-:

Hope so Colin you are right but I have doubts.
CEZ is controlling the offtake and will go only when the whole chain from mining to the Giga is fix. DFS isn't ready too. So CEZ will make the pace. Nevertheless you should always have a foot in the door and a close watch at CEZ.
You read my mind Antelope. But I take the counterpart for a second.
So let's assume the infinity mine in Spain is also reserved for seat. Why they did not take at least Zinnwald or European lithium(near to BMW) .
It's near and Deutsche Lithium would offer enough material for the BMW demand I guess.
It's all about the price Antelope Cinovec will not be mined before 2026 and prices are better or at least equal. It's really a pity that Czech politics meddle here. If not Tesla would already made an offtake. On the other side you can be lucky that czech wants to mine for sure in Cinovec at any cost or even at high costs.
OK counterpart out.
Beside the obviously by SP development today because of the BMW deal I searched a little bit and
I read on a Volkswagen site in german about a journey of a raw metal expert from Volkswagen who already 2020 visited Chile and checked the situation. Found an English translation.

I guess some did already read this today but I want to mention that BMW decided for Livent as second lithium supplier. Don't know what to think about in particular about this IRMA.

cannot read what about is the article?
Volkswagen delivered this week the the first id4.
They plan in the second half of the year to start with the id5 a coupe also in Zwickau. The id6 is a suv and will be only produced in China for now. The AUDI Q4 e-tron production has startet too. So the plant is good busy. Articles in german

Skoda has expressed a strong interest in building a battery gigafactory in the Czech Republic, after its Volkswagen Group parent company said it will build six such facilities in Europe by 2030.
The VW Group has confirmed that one of its six new gigafactories will be built at Salzgitter in Germany, and another in Skellefteå, Sweden, but it has yet to reveal locations for the other four. "With regard to the Czech Republic," Schäfer said, "Skoda would be happy to be part of it."
Schäfer added later: "We need at least one gigafactory here in the Czech Republic. It is the right place to do it for many reasons. Not least logistically because we are in the heart of Europe, close to many automotive countries around us, so I believe it's a great location - and there's lithium in the Czech Republic.
"We at Skoda play a major role in the economy of this country, and if the company changes, the infrastructure needs to change with it, to be successful in the future. We cannot import such critical components forever. We need to also make them. Discussions are under way, but it is early times."

I know, I know the share price. Yes, a bad day but...

Just want to ad that Porsche will produce the E-Macan in Leipzig starting from 2022. Leipzig is only 160Km away from Cinovec for those who are not that familiar with German locations. Not a new news but good to know because it's near to us. BMW is already producing their i3 at the Leipzig plant.

A realy good article, thank you.
Tesla has problems at Grünheide. There is may be not enough water for the battery factory. At least after the water supplier for the region. Article in german

And one condition for the first two gigas:
,,Both gigafactories will be powered by electricity from renewable energy sources" Herbert Diess
could be solved for the third giga in Czechia too via CEZ Solarpark in Usti nad Laben. But I guess they there will be photovoltaik on the roof anyway.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralsko_Solar_Park
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8CEZ_Group
Usti Nad Laben is a perfect place. The rail connections to Zwickau for example and into Czechia, Mlada (Skoda plant) are excellent and only couple of hours. The same with the autobahn in both directions very fast. The A17 in Germany is just 15 years old and goes straight to A4 a main west-east axe in Europe.
Additional you have the river Elbe for transports from Pardubice (Euro Manganese) to Usti Nad Laben. Workforce in this region is cheap and from the distance you can even take German specialists if needed because it's only a couple of kilometers.
In Chemnitz there is an engine plant which VW will close in couple of years. Keep in mind Volkswagen still did not announce the locations of all gigas nor did they say 6 and not more.
In Germany unions can make a lot of pressure because of this one Giga is in Salzgitter beside a motor plant which will close. But that's some other story..
Cinovec is only 34Km from Ust Nad Laben. Via highway 80Km till Mlada and 180Km till Zwickau via Dresden. Keep in mind that VW still has 2 Gigas with no decision where to place. Imo objectively Usti nad Laben has good cards. But you are right we will see.
Main station Usti Nad laben

I try to think like CEZ but really don't know. I'm just thinking about an economic chain. There is the river Elbe (German name) you can and Czechia do actually shipping from till to the sea near Hamburg. So you can shipping the Manganese to the point in North Bohemia where they may be want to build a plant - good CO2 footprint. Perfect place is may be Ust Nad Laben but only my personal guessing here.
from EMN site:
"Chvaletice is located 90km east of Prague in the Pardubice Region. The town lies in an agrarian yet industrialized valley, where the navigable Labe River, also known as the Elbe River in German, runs towards the port of Hamburg on the North Sea, through the Czech Republic and Germany. The Labe River has long provided Chvaletice with an important river trade link. "

Yea mondays are great Colin. Tesla announced the Piedmont deal at 28.09.2020. What a monday morning. 300%+ @oneday
What a bomb.Enjoy the weekend & GLA
Yes as an offtaker
The ethics is a very well read and fits to a lot of companies but mostly Volkswagen imo. May be CEZ already at work to get a really nice supply chain. We will see but you are right to mention that.

I'm invested with a small position and likely it's only a normal capital increase but you never know.
Next week we will know more. Which company you would suggest in this case most?
Tesla Giga Berlin May Start Production of Batteries in 2022, Earlier than Expected

Mdkv below you can read about the zwickau plant and VW Saxony. Zwickau is a special place for VW.
VW provide Zwickau with batteries from Braunschweig. Braunschweig is if I understand this right only a assemble place for battery cell which come from Breslau/Wroclaw Poland the LG plant there. VW build a low carbon footprint chain via trains which will bring batteries from Braunschweig to Zwickau. The chain is Wroclaw-Braunschweig-Zwickau all via train. The CO2 footprint for VW is very important nowadays after diesel gate. VW constructed special battery trains which load and unload fully automized you will find this link below in the second link but in german. But it's worth reading.

I wouldn't prefer a buyout. Only from my cold dead hands.
But ok let's count a little bit. CEZ is a company with a profit of 220 Mio. € in 2020.
We know all that with the right offtake we are on the Piedmont track. What that means for a squeeze- or buyout price? At least one thing CEZ is unable to give us a fair share price for that scenario. We know all where the journey goes to if offtake comes. EMH is here the Lokomotive at the stocks world wide not CEZ. Honestly look at the share price of CEZ last days although they own 51%.
We are connected and branded international with Cinovec. CEZ will not be happy with a buyout. The embassy of Australia will intervine too.
CEZ isn't even able to pay us a fair price with this profit. 130mio.share we have right?
10€ would be a absolutely minimum.
Makes in summary 1,3B.
CEZ maybe want.....but isnt in a position to make us such an offer.
I Don't believe in this. Maybe naive but my opinion.
The whole discussion shows us we need an early and fast Musk and a good run in 2021.
