Tomorrow I have to pick up my wife at Berlin Airport and will be only 10Km away from this baby. Maybe I will write a small letter to invite Elon for a good beer to Prague. Keith mentioned that at the presentation yesterday too.

You mean 200-300Mio. € subsidy right? I guess a part comes from EU right?
How is the mood and the polls for september in the country? The communists will not win right?
(-:
Me too lain tittle.
All what we need is just a small tweet about how beautiful Czechia is. It would be enough and on the right time now. I guess it would be a huge chaos then
https://www.reuters.com/article/tesla-germany/tesla-revises-plans-for-german-gigafactory-with-more-details-on-product-lines-idUSL2N2NL1NA
Marian Bocek Co founder of inobat and a big Tesla fan a you can read on the article. But for us important he said:
,,Are you planning a business in the Czech Republic as well?
We focus on the entire chain in the battery industry: from lithium mining to science and research and recycling. Since then, we have a partnership that includes CEZ. We focus on lithium at Cínovec. We want to be a future customer when we build a giant factory. It is very important for the EU where lithium and active materials come from. Cobalt or lithium currently comes from refineries in China. There are only a few countries in the world that have lithium deposits. In Europe, Portugal, Serbia and Tin. God pay for the Ore Mountains. The European Commission focuses on the origin of minerals going to battery cells. There is a great effort for raw materials to come from European sources, not from China."

new article from today
,,It is also the choice of a suitable partner, which would be CEZ, which has both capital and competencies, as well as access to lithium resources in the Czech Republic. This is also not a negligible advantage and the Czechia definitely has a lot to offer."

I hear you Ante but my wife said she will kick my ass when I go on to invest much more into EMH.??
So practical I'm destitute
Thx fingers for the links you post time on time. Most are very interesting!
Maybe I'm overinformed but the last link did you post about Teslas Giga what was the news here? That they managed the water problem? Went and read it in German but didn't get the important thing.
Thanks Sid for posting this interesting link.
Agree with you. Very confident
We are so dam ready CZLi for positiv news you cannot believe. It's time to make Nägel with Köpfen we say in Germany in English it is more like make a real job of it. Hope my fellow Germans will wake up soon and recognize the potencial which lays right in front of them.
@Tomcoves I hope that doesn't happen but we have 174Mio shares when I remember right. So you can easy count what is fair and possible for CEZ. Your proposal means arround 1 Billion$
to pay us all out. Is this realistic? How much is CEZ earning every year? Are they generally able to pay so much money? All this question you can answer on a short time with google
Seriously with Zinnwald? We in Germany have crazy eco people arround if they hear that VW wants to mine Lithium in Germany...
Never ever will VW mine in Zinnwald. To invest in a lithium mine in Germany is the same as you through your money out of the window. The mayor Green party here is for the election in September at 24% and more. I see only a chance for Zinnwald beginning with 2025 and more as the lithium shortage kicks in. You have huge security standards in Germany you cannot imgan ask Elon in Berlin. The workforce is expensive, the government works slowly and all the crazy people scream you kill our nature. I would never try this as a company to open Zinnwald in Germany. I always thought Zinnwald is the right mine for Tesla because with the green image may be you have a chance plus Tesla can say to the German customers watch it's lithium from Germany and now buy my car!
No seriously in my opinion Zinnwald is a big risk for everyone. And what do you get most optimistically lithium over the marcet price. No, that's not that easy. To mine the Lithium in Zinnwald there will be plenty years from know.
Did you not see that ecos forced Germany right out of atomic plants. 2022 the last one will go down. We Germans want all the cool renewable electro stuff but please don't mine that **** not in my backyard.
@Sid
Sry already for my English at the beginning.
Actually your are right. For example watch this video Analyse of Teslas advantages in BUYING Piedmont before battery day 2020.
https://youtu.be/GNvai-VG9gc
Everybody familiar with the topic thought Tesla will buy it. But didn't.
So what was the reason? They would obviously safe a lot of money as Ivan shows us. Till know we can only guess. There is some hitten strategy behind imo
Look, I'm invested in Sayona Mining since Piedmont and Sayona announced there strategic partnership couple month ago Both have big potencial and can together be a game changer for north America. We got NAL recently with help of Piedmont which is already heavy invested with over 20% in Sayona and 40% in Sayona Québec. Sayona has now 3 mines in Quebec. Authier, NAL and in exploration Tansim plusikely Gold beside de grey, Graphit and Lithium in Australia.
There is a massiv potencial near the north american car market I even don't count all the small supplier in Québec which will participate in an Lithium Hub arround Sayona. Ford very likely will be the next offtaker.
Piedmont the first offtaker and Sayona made a deal that from Sayona Québec at least 50% or 60000tpa go to Piedmont. With this amount Piedmont will supply Tesla and fulfill the contract they made. So my point of view is that Piedmont is already Tesla inkognito. It's a win-win for all at the moment and that without huge noise.
Sayona will now with a Lithiumhydroxid plant (they have to change the plant from Carbonite) 3 upcoming mines the relation to Piedmont and to Tesla with may be soon gold in the back start to grow. And all know somehow who they have to thank for. It's a little bit like Piedmont is Teslas Advokat and more in the mining sector.
So to come back to us. I think like Mkdv wrote it should be. VW will design this new battery company to go deep diving in mining sector and to establish relations, contacts and help may even with money for projects they aim on. And no I don't believe that VW will buy in geomet. They can rely on CEZ and the Czech government and they know this because they invested via Skoda already decades earlier right after the fall of the Iron curtain in Czechia. There is no way VW will not get Lithium if they want some. CEZ and VW are a unit. Tesla is here only the second place. Cinovec is not the goal of VW new strategy.
Good argument Sid. Why didn't Tesla Piedmont?
Ok... Ähm try here. It's a good one too

Additional Musk today wrote about high raw material price. Speeding up our offtakes
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1399492488612691973?s=20
Ante really good volumes in Germany today 80k plus till now. Wrote a little bite in german VW forums today to make a little bit advertising but as I wrote lot of people beginning to think about Schmalls words about supply chains and raw materials. Next days will show it. As I said we are early not late
Hope so carpeDiem 1
EMH is as we know all on the right place to the right time. We are competitive and are supported by the Czech state. Cinovec has a low CO2 footprint, is a well known mining area and open for the future. DFS is coming soon, ESG on the way and the spotlight is on. Our position couldn't even better.
This is a huge news and will bring the spotlight to us guys. All the Volkswagen shareholders are now a little bit uncertain what that means specialy the phrases with raw materials. This statement will bring us and some other lithium companies in the focus of VW shareholders. Schmall today made us a huge favor. A lot of people today will start to think what electric means and more what Schmall said about secure supply chain. We are in a good position specialy with already ongoing talks with Skoda. Good day for EMH and us.
VW admits that to have dominance in EVs you need dominance in lithium ion batteries.
To have dominance in lithium ion batteries you need dominance in the supply chain.
To have ultimate supply chain control you need to have your raw material supply locked in.
VW CTO Thomas Schmall,
@handelsblatt
“In the battery field, we now have to go deeper into the supply chain, in other words to the upstream suppliers of the major suppliers.”
“The decisive factor in battery cells are the raw material costs, their share is around 80 percent. So we have to take care of the raw materials right now.”

How about extraction of a percentage under 0,1%? It is really economic a feasible? Of course it would be great for us but I have doubts.
