Only problem with slug's typically over-simplified analogy is that this 'Zagato' has a sketchy history and is parked up in a very rough neighborhood, with question marks over probate and in need of a huge number of parts. There are some lovely options for sale at the in swish dealerships with warranties you can trust. This little Aston is going to have to stay unsold for a couple of years until the owner can get their act together.

That was never in doubt. Those claiming an imminent sale were always going to be wrong, but 2 years later not one has admitted they were wrong and rude in defense of their poor guesswork. Any apologies? Of course not.

Solgold weren't mine builders when Scott spoke, and they aren't currently. But you don't get horrible syntax like Scott's by accident. As I said at the time, those words were chosen very carefully. He definitely didn't say "solgold won't own Cascabel when it is built". If he meant to say that, he could have done.

Chumps like add, BBG, DBW, slug, fort and novice all just hear what they need to hear to stop them topping themselves over their losses/lost potential income.

That's the fundamental misunderstanding that rampers here have, cov, and it's worse in Solg than other stocks where bulls and bears can discuss things sensibly. The scuba divers here who talk about ridiculous 55p buy outs (or, hilariously, £1.20 as a 13x multiple!!) think it is 'bashing' to point out that we don't have much cash, we've had to take an emergency loan, the SP is the lowest it's been in years and, despite the company's claims, there is no evidence to suggest we have a viable next step yet. These things are just... True. Not bashing. Reality.

For those struggling to balance the pros and cons, look to the market and large scale investors. Based on recent news, are they buying? Do they think recent developments are positive? The SP is down, so it doesn't look like it. Then consider- do the desperate posters on this BB know more than the big investors? Uh... No.

I don't know who you have lumped me in with but I doubt it's fair or justified.

Just for clarity, I have never said a loan would be dilution. I have needed to explain, multiple times, that even I didn't expect solgold to stoop as far as an emergency loan. There's no way this is the funding Scott described as non-dilutive. Loans are not funding, they are a sticking plaster employed by the desperate!

I'm not sure where you read that I said the loan was disastrous - I think you might be making that up. I pointed out that the market was unimpressed by it and the price had dropped since it was announced. Disastrous is what's happened since Scott has been at the helm. 50%+ down... That's really bad.

Why am I 'making so much of it'? For weeks posters here have claimed there is a non-dilutive miracle raise coming. Instead Solg have taken out an emergency loan, and everyone is telling each other it's fine because Solg say they've got a big package of funding coming... And that's the bit I would caution that folks need to see before they believe.

What more evidence than the last couple of days trading do you need to see that the RNS was poorly received, add? Do you need me to explain what market faith in Solg would look like? Come on- don't be disingenuous. I know you want to believe the loan is good news but the market disagrees, and the market sets the price. Optimistic LTHs do not.

Add responded to the above by claiming the SP hadn't moved, but it is currently down. Why do LTHs think the market lacks faith in this announcement? Why does the wider market seem to agree that it's better to wait until fundraising is sorted?

I'll save you the trouble. It was 9p when the announcement about the loan was made. It's a tiny amount down, but it's down, isn't it? Not up. And I believe that means my question is a valid one.
