Probably good for the rest of us to top up. Hopefully we will get our money back one day but otherwise we will look back when we are old and with no money to pay health bills and laugh at how we thought that we could have been rich but in the end were stupid and made great times for AB

This is only an issue if you want to earn money on your investment in Enquest. Is that really everyone's main concern here? Please - we are here for the fantastic AB!!

I don't see either why the fuss. People don't invest in shares to earn money, they invest because they like the company and want to feel special by owning the shares and because they think that the CEO is a nice chap. Earning money on an investment is overated.

I think this was the best result we could possibly Hope for. A tory victory and Rolling back the tarrifs. Will be interesting to See What happens to enquest today. I was a little worried What the alternative would have meant for the oil industry and tax breaks but that is definitely off the table. Onwards and upwards!

:-). I think we have about the same number of shares Pelle based on what you have been writing. Yeah - I suspect that you have just been buying which is great but we are hitting a brick wall. I suspect by late Q3 or early Q4 next year we will lift.

Pelle - i have stopped trying to find any logic here - believe me you Will not find it. The sp is being manipulated to enable a shareholder to accumulate (no prizes for guessing who) so just sit back and wait until the show is over.

Agree romaron. I think after the elections if Boris wins a clear majority could be the start of the trend uowards. Many uncertainties are coming to an end. Enquest should be a 1.4 (adjusted net debt) in february 2020

Interesting pickup pelle. Wouldnt surprise me if there was a similar short on enquest. With that Said i dont care as we have definitely turned the corner thanks to kraken, Magnus, aramco and the rigs dropping off a cliff. This time next year the sp will be well above 60p. I am targeting 80p with a 400% uplift next year :-). Maybe not all in one year but the tide has definitely turned. Just need to make sure that Boris gets a decent majority next week.

Neil - it is time to get a deal done and get out. The uncertainty is holding back certain UK stocks and I think one of them is Enquest

Yeah - the polls are a dangerous guide but I agree. Nevertheless, I think this is a potential risk that is priced into the oilies given their tax credits. Don't want to see comrade corbyn take away that present.

Come on Pelle - this aint going to be taken over period. There is a reason why AB has over 10% and you have spelt that out. Now I think as long as Boris can squeak in and get brexit done that might add the additional boost to the sp. Just need to avoid comrade corbyn

Krak - i think we onboarded about the same time - october 2014? Agree with your analysis. Just saw a depressing interview with conoci CEO who predicts us growth of 1.2 m barrels next year. He was building a business to survive wti at 50 and funded capex, Opex and dividends at low 40s. Rough Numbers we are break even excluding dividends of course at 40 brent next year so that is very well Done.

Hi Neil. I take full responsibility for my actions and my wife has already mentally written off this investment as I have almost done. Agreed AB does not set the price, the market does but the market sets price based on a number of factors both subjective and objective. Subjective ones are do I believe what the CEO is telling me (answer no), has he kept his promises (no), does he speak clearly (no). The news yesterday was met with a shrug, honestly. PMO up over 5%! I had a cursory look at the major shareholder list published on Enquest.com and did see some downward movement in the large shareholders (at least in percent terms). Funnily many of our shareholders are also shareholders in PMO however percentually in large they have greater holdings in PMO. I do however see that the market view of energy stocks is extremely poor and that is not anything to do with AB. Indeed, looking back from start PMO and Tullow are off a greater percentage than Enquest (pat on the back AB!). What I hope for is a meaningful re-rate of the oil market starting 2020 and then we are off to the races. What is the trigger could well be a revision down in US production.

AB has done a fantastic job destroying shareholder wealth! Hats off to the wonderful chap. He really is a genius!!!
