Just looking at estimated costs and revenue. A conservative estimate is 1.8 billion in revenue over 8.5 years against costs of 600 million or so. This is without Spod 5. Yearly revenue is 220 million dollars. All low end estimates. Based on 500 USD costs and 1,500 USD price of Spod.
IMO it makes selling it difficult as what is a fair price? 3 times earnings? 5 times? Can anyone smarter shed light on this process?
There was an RNS on 4th of November when new shares were issued which confirmed voting rights. Why reconfirm them? I haven't seen this prior to a share issue before and if a deal to buy an equity stake in the business is in the offing, you wouldn't want to pre-announce it would you?
Apologies for adding to the speculation.
Has anyone been in share that has behaved like this? Company not burdened by debt, making a profit, sitting on large potential reserves and waiting for equipment that will just about double output. Delay was explained and while many think it is unacceptable, you would not expect the price to drop like this.
Have we missed something or is it just patience?
With the share price where it is, being acquired could be a possibility. As others have said, PR is needed which these days is basically free. A few pics on twitter of things getting done. Even stuff like the solar panels getting installed.
Read the last 2 reports and thought they were quite good only to see price tank on the production drop. A lot of annoyed investors if we don't get firm information with dates. 2 months to get Q3 numbers for a small producer is ridiculous but we might get a very clear and positive forward looking statement.
Any chance of a special dividend or other things to sort first?
Opulentia. Also helps if you have massive steel balls. I cut my position. Glad i didn't sell all. Don't know if want to buy back in but might have to
Cheers Lav. I can't think of any negatives to be honest. The price reflects profit taking after a good run up and a pop on licence news. Would be good to hear a rational, different viewpoint if anyone has one.
Will maybe see if there is any info on spod 5 and 6 and how it works. Not exactly my area of expertise.
Here is a simple summary for anyone new. Anyone old will no doubt add or correct anything.
Mining licence issued
Feasibility study being done to see if we can get more out of the ground than we previously thought. 2 grades can be mined, spod 5 and 6. Previously spod 5 worthless, now 1250 usd a ton. The study is not to see if the project as a whole is viable.
Our neighbours in the same area are moving ahead.
Good gold results and waiting on more news.
Mali is unstabley, stable for now. China, Russia and France will likely keep it stable enough.
Many scenarios as to how Kodal will move forward but the company looks to be worth more than the mkt cap. IMO
Timeframe for news 3 to 6 months, maybe sooner.
CNBC are reporting that Mark Mobius sees Romania at risk of a currency crisis. If one were to occur, what would that mean for Serinus and income? I am guessing we are using USD but thought would ask if it is a risk or opportunity
I just bought a smallish amount last week! Should they not be waiting for official confirmation?
If we can get the 117 down enough, sell or jv the gold concessions and borrow a bit, can we just sell the lithium on an off take arrangement? All speculation of course as haven't attempted to look at the numbers.
Our neighbours have the same product as us. Would it not make sense to be doing something with them, reducing the 117 million down? Battery makers will want direct control of the supply I would have thought, so either a buyout or JV must still be the most likely outcome? Feel free to point out holes in my logic.
I topped up yesterday for a couple of reasons. Greed was the first one, as expected it to at least hold gains. However, the second one, was the fact this is now derisked massively. The market cap is not huge so I think it still has some way to go before it reaches fair value. The communication has been really good . Here's to a silvery white future with a tint of gold....
