I agree that a few select people get a headsup before most which is why you will see a share price move a certain way before news is released but to say things are "Priced in" Is imo stupid as "The most" Dont get that headsup! If this was the case then RNS's wouldn't make any difference to any company as its already been "Priced in" Yet they forget that there will be so many investors who wait on good or bad news before deciding to buy which is why on many occasions you see big price movements either way when a major news RNS is released i.e airbridges. People will also top up or sell even more depending on the news so again priced in is imo incorrect on many occasions.

Where do you see things going in the next few years? Do you see a major correction in shares or the economy in general or do you see a gradual recovery in a year or so? I feel that we are heading for some bad times, once things all catch up its going to be like a perfect storm, this is all just my opinion so I hope I'm wrong as if not then sadly many people are heading for some major pain!

I've been looking over the history of the Dow Jones when big drops occur, the financial crash of 2008 caused rougly a 50% gradual drop that lasted from roughly Oct 2007 to Feb 2009, The dotcom bubble caused roughly 40% drop from Dec 1999 to Sept 2002, those are just 2 examples and there are a couple of others than lasted longer so my point is this:-

Many economists say the issues Covid is going to cause are going to be worse than both those 2 examples by a distance, some say it could equal than the great depression so when you look at the market now you have to wonder where exactly we are heading in the coming months and years?

I know times are always different but what worries me is that we are nowhere near feeling the pain from all this and we could have another gradual decline in the Dow and FTSE that lasts for a longer period of time? The rise in the Dow and FTSE we have seen so far is obviously due to money being pumped into the system to help but this will have to stop at some point and then the pain will realy kick in, yes the Fed will probably print till the cows come home but even thats not good! The next few weeks or so will be interesting sp wise but over the coming year or so I do wonder where share prices will be in major companies?

I love rambling btw and not in the walking sense even though I also like walking! Ok I'll stop now!

Anyone have any idea how long the court action will take to get a decision? I also noticed that Shapps didn't answer the question about other countries not wanting UK citizens visiting just yet! He also seemed to make it clear that no changes if any will be made until 29th June so we have atleast 2 weeks to see what happens. Until then we could have R rate higher or lower which will affect the sp, the court decision assuming its done by then affecting the sp and general news which could go either way so its going to be an interesting few weeks until the 29th unless they Gov cave in and change the rule before that? What ever happens good luck cos we do have some rocky times coming but also so hopefully good times :)

If theres no hols this year its due to one reason and one reason only, the virus has gone viral again :) Could this happen? Yes but the numpties in charge are all about money and they know they cant allow the travel industry to fall as it will literaly be millions out of work due to the snowball affect so they will have to do something to prop up the industry, they 100% wont let it go up in flames, they cannot afford to!

Mr1891 Think about it this way, you held when it was sitting at 331 so why sell now? When things get back to normal this will fly, airbridges and no 2m distancing anymore and then when the USA opens its borders again its boom time, it will take time so make your choice and be happy with it, yes it could go back to previous low levels and lower but it will rise again unless it goes t*ts up which I hope it doesn't lol! :) Oh and ignore the misfits on here, too many gamer players!

Mr1891 Personaly I would hold, you have a good price and IAG will imo go alot higher than that in the future, or you could take the chance and sell and try to get in lower, you might have a good chance to do so but its all a guessing game? So if you dont mind waiting then keep hold and go chill out, markets go crazy like this now and again so its best to ignore it as much as possible. However if the world comes tumbling down then you may loose it all but if that did happen that would be the least of your worries! Btw I'm no financial expert and I dont think you will find any on here who are so you are better making your own judgement call!

I think we could see a few weeks of upside, I think we could see a few weeks of side to side, I think we could see a few weeks of flipside, I think we could see a few weeks of whatever side we want! Point being the markets are crazy, one minute everyone calling the pandemic over, the next the world is about to end! Dealing in shares in these times is very risky unless you pick a safer type of share, is there such a thing nowadays?

IAG isn't going bust but its not going to make us all rich in these times, theres so much good and bad news due to come tommorow could see another drop but could also see another rise, blah, blah, blah! I even bored myself typing this rubbish!

In the end all you can do is take a chance and it it pays off good, best thing to do is not to risk what you cannot afford to loose. Pointless post over, I'll have another no doubt sometime!

To just to add, is TUI's cancellations up to 10th July not a signal that after that date people can travel?

If there is a second wave its not just because of people protesting, it also because of the mess our government made and still continues to make in dealing with this pandemic!

I realy do think that the government will have to make some sort of announcement next week in regards to the travel/holiday etc sectors, it needs to be either a massive bailout if they insist on continuing after the 3 weeks quaratine or they will announce airbridges etc? If not then I can only imagine the blood bath in regards to jobs that is going to and is already starting to occur, I would say the government are not that stupid to let this happen but they clearly are incompetent so anythings poosible!

The biggest scare factor for me is how much the Dow is up considering how bad things are going to get, money being pumped into the system is the obvious result of this so if the Fed do or say anything negative it could be bad times! However if they dont :)

Why do people get so twitchy when a share goes down after such a big rise? Profit taking is a good thing as it opens doors for more buying. There was a 60p swing today from 360 high to 310 low which equates to about a 16.5% drop at one point and on no news. This stupid quaratine that nearly everyone knows is ridiculous will be ended sooner rather than later UNLESS there is a big 2 wave which I'm seriously doubting will happen. If this goes lower I buy more if and I top slice at about 450/500 depending on the sentiment that week.

I've been keeping an eye on these two shares and cannot decide if either is worth a punt? Any views from non bias holder or non holders would be appreciated.
