Sorry, that was my mistake at 08:28. I'd been looking at POW at the same time and got my wires crossed thinking SP was 14 and not 30.

It appears the revenue from the warrant will cover the cost of the water rights.

But why would someone choose to pay the warrant prices, 17p or 25p, when they could buy the shares for significantly less in the market? Is this for tax reasons? Is it because of the quantity of shares involved?

Views on your recent purchase depend on you reason for buying.

Are you after capital growth, a short term trade (days, weeks, months), are you a buy and forget long term holder (five plus years), are you investing for dividend income, dividend growth, what is you age profile, what is your BA investment as part of your total assets, etc...

What does Mike Ashley see here then? Doesn't he usually want a seat in the boardroom to push for changes in what he sees as mismanaged companies? Will this be beneficial for MRK? What does Mark Smithson think of this? Does Mike Ashley want Marks Electrical to be a part of the Frasers Group? By takeover perhaps?

I like the Marks Electrical business model and have used them for white goods in the past. If you've ever bought a new gas cooker and had it delivered you will be familiar with having to arrange an engineer to install it. As I understand it, Marks Electrical now deliver and install in one visit. I wish them every success. I just hope they are not crushed by the recent budget tax increases.

I've looked on MorningStar and the MRK company website and don't see any reference to Frasers.

@Speedy, why would you choose to buy Britannias from a Swiss Co. and then have them imported to the UK rather than buy them from a UK seller who has the coins already in the UK?

Holding these for 12 months and three weeks will include three ex-div days, two interins and one final.

Using 27p for the three divis the yield is over 12.5%.

Downside risk is low. Divis well covered. Alternatively there is the potential to take a capital gain withing the 12 months.

Don't forget your brokers fee to sell. HL is £11.95. If you own 100 shares then you can add another 12p to the notional 15p. Then it looks like the best option is to wait for the payday in the 3rd or 4th quarter this year. I'm going to wait but everyone's circumstances are different.

Jim, it looks as though the SP is comfortably into the 12s now. Live price 1240. Up over one pound in four trading days. Long may it continue.

I noticed that the AGM resolutions vote counts were not published last year either. The annual report just said they were all passed.

I think from a transparency point of view that they should publish the numbers. Why they don't would be a good question to ask the company. Maybe they could put it to a vote at the next AGM!
