We are in uncharted waters. The B of E needs to raise interest rates or with Sleepy Joes's mob uping thiers the pound will implode. If the B of E put up the interest then the cost to mortgage payers will rocket and debt household debt will fall off a cliff. Yes it is busy. My son is earning a fortune fixing things and I cannot get a plumber. Normaly I would bung him a few few form fives and the tap would be magically replaced. A low pound means high oil prices. High oil prices sucks the buying power of the general public and hey ho. DEPRESSION

Ships are berthing now continuously at Felixstowe and Thamesport. A major part of the containers are sent by rail to inland destinations but hey ho. No trains. I estimate about two weeks and ships will be having be turned away. They will then dump their cargoes around Europe. Supply chains will implode. There are not enough lorries to make any difference and anyway very few drivers.
Skools are all breaking up for the Summer holidays but the school bus contracts are all being handed back as the cost of fuel and overheads are crippling. Worse they too are finding the drivers have all reached retirement age.
I have decided to waiuntil next week to make a decision on what to do. My finger hovvered over the buy button this morning but I found a serious case of the shakes forced me to abort..

This a reflection of the current market expectations. Builders,suppliers and construction is looking very shaky. Still articles appear about house prices falling but only to lower levels of growth. They are mad. I have shares in Breedon too and that has been a total waste of time and money. The next six months ar going to be painful.

Was on about 13.15 today. Government said they would build one nuclear power station a year. Speaker said that was laughable.

Listen to R5 debate on energy crisis. Two very clued up people. Nuclear is not a quick fix. Hinckley is 10 years late already.
Wid fall tax was government shooting themselves in the foot. Subsidies on fuel costs will simply fuel more demand so making the problem worse. The race is now on for renewables but it will take five years to even make a difference. Those five years are going to be painful. Nigeria Iran and Venezuela cannot fix it.
My regular shop is rocketing. Coffee was 5.95 last week. Now 7.00. I now shop around and spend more time because watching my portfolio is pointless. I shall probably start buying again here after AB and Enquest tell us their plan.
