in the long run, the 'patient' run, the value in this company will from growth in the underlying NAV. so if these difficult market conditions mean he has additional opportunities to buy into promising early growth companies at keen prices (because raising money is v tough in this kind of market!) that should pay off for all holders in the long run. i.e. focus on NAV, not SP. that's no comfort of course for any wanting to trade wpct on a relatively short timescale. (but i confess a touch of embarrassment there, as i am now scaling back in having exited circa 1:12 as the premium to NAV seemed excessive then.)

a chunk this morning. would like to take another, but think i will hold off on that until i see what effect on price/ NAV discount from any new investment money that comes in.

well up today, partly b/c those two big morning buys.

it is fascinating how the bots seem to drive it up and down sometimes with those A trades.

saudis gonna be much more cash-strapped than they used to be. hence, less money in their pockets to buy weapons/planes etc... ... but on the other hand, saudis having much less money = much less stable, many more defence /unrest issues = ? buy more weapons?

i don't think you will be getting many replies from the holders here, because the lack of information from the management here about the company's position, plans and prospects makes it very difficult for anyone to see how they are intending to dig themselves out of the current hole. maybe they will get lucky and a nomad will turn up in the next few days in time to stop delisting, and the firm will finally manage to complete that placing it mentioned months ago, and then it can start revealing all the new client deals that will justify the fancy new offices. after all, anything is possible in a quantum universe.

i am not an expert on the FCA, but so far as i understand it, the FCA does not only regulate market listed companies .... they say they regulate about 70,000 UK companies at the moment. the key point is whether they are financial services companies. may be wrong, but that's my understanding.

dan is a financial services company, supposedly with investment banking. ... i.e. a different kind of company from imtk... .... FCA regulate financial services companies...

? wouldn't the company still be subject to regulation from the FCA as a financial services company, even if it delists from AIM? (relevant if RT wanted over 10%)

yup. me & lord turner, lousy timing both : ( i've added a very small amount today, but it still doesn't feel like a robust market.

well, average exit worked well. but would be nice for once to kick it all out at the very high! still, not the percentage play. i'm not looking to get back in here in the near term. can see it might progress a little, but my fear about the way down outweighs my remaining greed.

there are a large number of A trades, and volume is not particularly high. suspect this share is largely being played with by algorithmic progs. humans trying to compete with them in short term trading must be nimble.

my final slice this morning, raising a little money for some of the uk insurers.

an exciting share but it holds up well. director buy seldom hurts.
