woodford has clearly not found it hard to invest the
money at this point - some critics saying he did it
too quick, while he and team are saying that they
are thinking of raising more money as they can see
so many more opps out there. perhaps it will depend
a bit what the on-going churn rate is like within wpct?
if he sells off and seeks to replace holdings pretty quick,
i can see how that might become an issue, but from
what he's said about the overall philosophy, which does
emphasise relatively long holds, and adding in money
to existing stakes to support growing businesses that
then need extra money to fuel the expansion, woodford
is planning a relatively low churn/disposal rate. we'll see.
can't say i mind either way, the funds are hardly competitors,
given that they focus on rather different sectors/assets, & miton
fund is such a smaller beast. room for all sorts out there. gla.
