I think that a better way to deal with them is to not reply to their post, this avoids the advert of the subject line in your reply, and to post some thing relevant to the share, but not to counter their point/remark or post something else.
This would bury their post and render it insignificant.
A bit like having a room of people and allowing one person to speak (troll) and then engage in a conversation with the troll, before you know it the troll has you and it's hard to fight stupid. But if you let the troll speak and then move onto something else, or go back to the last conversation it makes the trolls speech pointless and insignificant.
