Hi All. A very interesting time for GGP. Will 7.2 resistance hold or will we break through? The thought of selling at 7.2 and trying to buy back lower is ok for a small bit of bunce but i think the big rise will see the 10% traders lose out as we morph from a small time explorer into a major miner. Most of the big buyers are not here for a 10% profit and i imagine high teens will see a few talk profits with the real investors/smart money wait for much higher returns.

The extension for the LOM at Telfer will be a game changer. I suggest those sitting on the side lines waiting for an entry point read about what is still at Telfer waiting to be found. ATB Speedy

@culpepper. BRICS is growing into one of the most powerful organisations on the planet. With a huge population and rich in commodities. The USA will have to trade with them but the USAs superiority is diminished with a weak $ and massive un serviceable debt.

@culpepper. How wrong you are. GGP/SD were and still are in a very strong position. This is evident by the huge backing of Newmont, Wyloo, a few huge banks and several big institutions. Some times the market is blind to what is coming, and what is coming for GGP and its investors is a controlling position in one of the most exciting regions for miners.

No matter how hard you try to put this co down you will fail miserably. Speedy

Telfer was worthless to all, except GGP. If/when our exploration team find more gold at Telfer and we become producers(short term) the gap to Hav first pour is filled and we arrive ( with very little debt) as a top Aussie miner throwing out FCF in huge quantities. The future looks bright. Speedy

Hi All. The market has the ability to surprise no matter how well you think you know the market. With most pointers suggesting a higher POG the producers will benefit. Most traders just follow a dot on a screen and have no concept of the profit potential for GGP. The transition from junior explorer to major producer with little debt is almost unheard of and when, not if, SD pulls this off mr market must and will respond. ATB Speedy

Hi Bamps. Valuing gold in fiat is flawed. Best to compare corn, land, oil,houses etc against gold, that will give you true value.

Looking at the last 50years the POG has gone from $35/oz to todays $2800/oz and the world is still turning. If the POG reaches $10k/oz it will only effect those holding fiat.

Hi All. Silver has a lot of catching up to do and will, in the short term, outperform gold. Taking advantage of this coming rise is not easy and profits can be wiped out due to taxes. Silver bullion attracts CGT and VAT. Silver Britts are CGT exempt but you will have to pay VAT if you take delivery. The way to avoid VAT is to purchase and store in a bonded store. The folks that want to store them "under the bed" will have to pay the 20%VAT. There are some dealers that advertise VAT free silver Britts, this is misleading as the VAT is included not added.

A note of caution. Silver is the most controlled and volatile commodity on the planet and the volatility is not for the faint hearted. ATB Speedy

Hi EOAW. Prior to purchase checkout the premiums that the dealer is charging. You will soon see that the royal mint takes the pee. I personally use Chards or atkinsons for small purchases and vongreyerzgold for serious buying. The light hearted talk about storage at home is fine until you are robbed, as it is impossible to keep it a secret from everyone. Folks trust the criminal banks with their funds but the long established vaults are a much safer bet, with allocated gold stored and insured for half% of value. UK vaults do not allow inspection but Swiss vaults do allow you to collect your gold in person. The best gold to buy for a UK citizen is the Britannia, no VAT and no CGT and one of the most liquid assets going. Good luck whatever you decide. ATB Speedy

Hi All. As i suspected the banks used the "Trump" card to try and push back the bull. The drop to $2650/oz was a gift and well done all who took advantage and added physical. The rise will now continue to new ATHs and beyond.

Hi Jonno. It matters not one jot who is in charge of the USA. The banks will use any, and every, excuse to try and suppress the POG. The west has lost control of the suppression and now price discovery is coming from the east. The banks put in sell orders and the brain dead, dot on a screen, traders follow like lemmings and weak hands have their ill placed stop losses hit.

I mentioned several days ago that we may see a pullback, maybe down to £2650/oz. I think this will be short lived and the bull will continue to new ATHs. If $2650/oz is hit i see that as a gift. Be interesting to see what US open does ATB Speedy
