Hi All. I have been banging on about the POG and the fact that it is going to price levels that seem impossible in todays market. Now all the paid experts are mostly stating the same thing. Quantum physics states “ things only come into existence once observed” The rerate is being talked about “observed” more and more from all angles and will come into existence. Hi All. What a week for the PMs space. Everywhere you look is talking about gold/silver. This coverage of a “pet rock” will soon stir non believers into taking it seriously. When the real rush by western institutions into gold silver and the miners happens watch out above. At the moment only about 1half of 1 percent of investments are in PMs. Only a small increase will see massive demand for a very small market. Things are about to get very hot. ATB Speedy

I have been involved in and studied the PMs market for over 50 years and if you look the footprints are there to suggest a holding somewhere around 40kozs China plays its cards close to its chest and i for one would not believe a word they say. Hi All. The weekly report from the WGC states China added another10tons of gold, add to that their production for the mth and it is probably above 20tons of gold the last mth alone. It will not be much longer to wait for the news that China holds In excess of 40tons of the shiny stuff. That news will coincide with declaration of a gold backed(probably 40percent) trading system. Hi Lee. Debt is a BIG problem. When 30 percent of tax revenue is spent on servicing that debt. The other elephant in the room is derivatives. Trillions and trillions of £ are with counterparty risk, when one defaults the knock on effect will send many institutions under and ordinary folk will be the losers. Pension funds will be devastated.

Having a free reign to create credit at will has caused massive overspending and bubbles in many assets. This is going to end very badly. The sooner some form of credit control is introduced the better and the best way is with some form of gold backed system. ATB Speedy

HiSpy. The£ in your bank acct is also just an electronic digit pulled out of thin air. It is just a credit that you are charged (interest) for the privilege of using. Great job being a bank, create something free of charge and then sell on at a profit. Lloyds now want 30percent on overdrafts. Good profit margin that is. Sooner the banks are broken up the better.

Hi Catchme. In ground gold valuation is a dark art. What you have to ask is. What are the chances of getting that gold out of the ground and into a vault. If the mine is in Bongo Bongo land ,deep, low grade, bad ore body shape, no infrastructure and low grade management the valuation would be near zero

When looking at the same parameters for Hav the valuation could be anywhere between 800 to1000usd/oz. SD mentioned a fig of 20million ozs (possibly) at Hav. Do your own calcs from that. ATB Speedy

Hi All. My long gold x5 punt was looking spectacular until half hour ago. Still closed my 3 day position well in front. Not brave enough to go again just yet. I suspect a slight pullback after such dramatic rises. Was hoping for USD3k/oz by week end but it looks as though the banks still have some say in the matter but not for much longer. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Who ever owns the gold makes the rules and China owns most. Fiat credit is ina tail spin and the best way to protect from destitution is physical gold ownership. Problem is that most citizens in the West fail to recognise this.

Owning GGP stock is good but with risk including state seizure if the economic situation implodes.

Owning physical gold stored outside the banking system is a safe bet. ATBSpeedy

Hi All. Physical gold or GGP stock? Thelast12 moths it’s been physical by a country mile. What the next 12 moths will bring is anyonesguess. I see gold in excess of 4500usd/oz and GGP in excess of 14p.
