Hi Ricardo. I only use ETFs for short term trading, you can never take delivery and i do not trust JPM who are usually the custodians. Atkinsons or Chards are very good dealers and my preference has always been gold Britannias but with the increasing cost per coin a few Sovs would be a good idea. Both Brits and sovs are CGT free. Only ever take delivery for a few coins (2 or 3) and always store at place of purchase, this ensures good delivery status and only costs approx 0.5% storage fees inc insurance ( the insurance premiums for storing gold at home exceeds that) i cannot stress this too much "never take delivery"
Resale is easy, Britannias are a very liquid asset and one phone call, to the dealer storing you coins, will see funds in your bank in hours not days.
Whilst on the subject of coins, do not forget silver Brits these are also CGT free and if stored in a bonded store they are VAT free as well. The premiums for silver Brits is very high so they are a long term investment.
I hope this helps and if you need any more info just ask. ATB Speedy
