Hi Onthebottom. In your worst case event there is nothing wrong with holding a few gold sovs "under the bed" but large holdings are very, very, safe in Switzerland. Most UK vaults will not let you attend but in Switzerland you can collect some or all of your gold in person. Dont drink milk, beer or bubbly is much better for you . ATB Speedy

You will become a target, as it is almost impossible to hide the fact from everyone. Store at place of purchase . The storage costs are very small at around half a % of value and that will include insurance.

Hi MH. The rotation away from $s into gold is accelerating. The currency debasement effect on gold value is non profit making. What we have now is the west has lost control of the POG and that means a rerate to true value and holders will see real time profits as the POG extends its lead to levels that most folks deem impossible.

The double whammy of owning a gold producer is making the game very, very lucrative. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The UK has now entered into a high tax, high debt, economy. Years ago the talk was in £millions then it moved to £billions and soon into £trillions. Only a few % of folks understand inflation (currency debasement) if the general population were given the true facts there would be chaos and disruption on a scale unprecedented in UK history. It is not just the UK but most economies around the globe are being lead to the slaughter house by the criminals (bankers) that now rule the world. The future for 99.9% of citizens is bleak in the extreme.

One way to offset this coming disaster is to convert your wealth into physical gold, not next year or next month or next week but now. Do not let ATHs in the POG put you off. Look at the 10 year chart for gold and the parabolic move is clear for all to see. ATB Speedy

Hi Bamps. The fact that a rising POG makes low grade ore profitable may not take too long to happen. The gap in production is 1year to 18mths away and i am convinced the POG will be considerably higher then.

Hi RA. Good post especially the "lower grades can be left until they become more economical as the POG rises". The rising POG will allow the low grades to be profitable and even more so with automation and the use of renewable energy thereby offsetting the effect of inflation on wages and fuel. ATB speedy

Hi All. $2800/oz will be the next level of defence for the banks but i suspect they will lose as they did at $2500, $2600 and $2700.

ATHs are being broken on a weekly basis yet total global financial involvement in the gold sector is only at 0.8% of total investments. This must soon change as institutions wake up to the investment opportunities that gold brings.

With western banks losing control of pricing and the USA $ entering a death spiral all bets are of on the POG in the new year. The value of our asset is increasing at an ever greater rate and what that value will be in a few years as Hav production comes online is almost scary. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Margins for gold miners would have been significantly higher without the price suppression. The lost profits for the last 50 years is staggering.

This week has seen what is probably the end of that suppression with price discovery coming from the East. The POG has advanced over the $2700/oz to another ATH and all the criminal bankers could do was a futile $50 pullback that was all but corrected by Fridays close. They have lost control of the market and investors holding ETFs backed with highly leveraged gold (if any at all) are in a precarious position and should convert holdings into physical as soon as possible.

I have just read a report that silver paper to physical leverage has exploded to over 400 to 1. This does not look good for silver ETF traders as only a small shift into physical would lead to a massive price increase caused by shortage of supply. It is not as bad as that in the gold market but still investors need to take action now. The only reason ETFs are used is the perceived ease of transactions compared to physical, this could not be more incorrect as dealing in physical is just as easy. The slightly higher premiums paid for dealing physical is out weighed by the security it brings. ATB
