Hi Sporty. I know you are joking about putting your stash under the bed, but many may not. I strongly advise anyone buying physical gold/silver to store it at the place of purchase. There are very good reasons for this.Firstly, the supply chain for good deliver is not broken, secondly, the thieving robbers will not get their hands on it. Storage fees including insurance is around 0.5%/yr, not that much in the scheme of things. ATB Speedy

Hi All. While we all wait for 27p to be left behind a heads up on the state of the physical gold market. The delivery dates for gold is getting further and further out. The rich are getting around this by buying COMEX contracts and demanding physical delivery instead of $ settlement. The closing of the Dec contract is going to be very interesting, the banks are in a record short position and they are now under pressure to supply physical gold. Supply and demand is a main driver of prices. Where is all this gold going to come from? The answer to that is it will not be forthcoming at the present price. Would you sell your physical gold today at £1412/oz? No, thought not. This bodes well for the GGP SP even without further good news. ATB Speedy

Hi Trucky. I posted earlier about the spread(buy and sell price) on gold coins. When you buy a gold coin you are paying a premium over spot because of the cost in minting the coin. The difference between spread and premium. When buying, the premium is the price you pay above spot price for minting and gold content. Selling is when the spread comes in. Most Cos will only offer spot price or under and offer no coin premium. Some Cos offer a buy back deal for coins purchased from them and the best i have found is The Pure Gold co with a spread circa 4%. Basically if you pay today £1500 they will buy back at £1440 well above spot price . I have no interest in that Co and do not receive commission . ATB Speedy

Hard work in the music industry (security and merchandise) the luck came from a partnership with a very clever person from Israel and the opportunity came when the Gov announced Assured Shorthold Tenancies (went all in with the BTL market) Sold my last BTL property this year and have been pumping funds into gold/silver and related stock. Hi Jet. My reason for posting about coins is that eventually every holder here will sell or be bought out. What to do with the profits? Bank deposit, no thanks, look for another GGP, not a hope. Buying gold Britannias or Sovereigns, VAT and CGT free is by far the best form of storing wealth and the new 2021 Brits are a thing of beauty. If anyone here can come up with a better way of passing on your wealth to your heirs please speak up. Even land and housing carries CGT. ATB Speedy

Hi All. When deciding what Co to use to purchase gold coins one very important factor is the spread, diff between buy and sell. Some Cos offer slightly cheaper prices but their buy back prices very rarely exceed spot bullion price and offer no buy back premium for coins. When buying check out the buy back price. The difference can be substantial. ATB Speedy

For me personally i am not too bothered one way or the other, buy out of HAV or JV mining, both options will produce profits, one just sooner than the other. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The big boys have drove the POG below the $1900/oz as i thought they would. The commitment of traders report will be made up tomorrow and released on Friday night. It will be interesting to see how many short contracts they have managed to close, i hope it is a lot. The next leg up in the POG will be historic and will propel our SP to new highs. ATB Speedy
