To think that one arm of JPM does not confide in another is, in my opinion, strange. Hi TMT. A good summary on the SXX bloodbath, the main point you missed out is the fact that the main shorter was JPM who was acting financial adviser to SXX. JPM were also in charge of raising a few bill $s via bond issue ( which was not seen as a great problem) and decided to blow that and arrange a sale to AA who owed JPM a few bill $s. Hi All. SP movements are a simple matter of supply and demand. If you look at shares traded you may see 5million shares traded but if a large holder is slowly selling all buys will be soaked up resulting in a stagnant SP. Same as a buyer wanting lots of shares but buys gradually resulting in a stagnant SP. It gets interesting when the seller has no more to sell and the big buyer wants more =higher SP. Nothing mystical about it, but do not let common sense stop a good conspiracy theory about MMs. ATB Speedy
