Mattyboy, Unfortunately the answer to your question, “How long do we wait”, all I can say is, how long is a piece of string ?
Most LTH’s bought into GGP on the premise that we’d be mining Havieron with Newcrest by 2023. Unfortunately that hasn’t panned out as most of us expected, and now it looks like we’ll be waiting until 2027 before GGP accomplish that feat by themselves.
TBF to Shaun, he really couldn’t care less regarding the pushing back of that original plan, as his job from the outset was to build a successful company, and with what he’s had to deal with in the ever changing circumstances since his appointment, has now brought us to the precipice of achieving far more than any of us could have imagined in 2020. Yes it’s been a long road, and we’re still not at the end of it yet, but I do believe he has pulled together all the building blocks, to make his dream of being the CEO of one of Australia’s largest precious metals miners come to fruition.
As they say, “If it walk’s like a duck, squawk’s like a duck and f**k’s like a duck, then it’s probably a duck 🦆.
If as you say, “some of us have things outside of our control that may necessitate the release of invested funds!” then that’s for you to sort out, not SD or GGP.
I’m not being harsh, it’s just reality. If you think you’re going to miss out on any sudden positive impact on the SP, then that’s for you to sort out, not the BOD’s of GGP !
They had a mandate to deliver Havieron on budget that’ll make your hair curl when it comes to releasing the news of profits attained in the not to distant future.
Our CEO/MD seems to be one of the smartest cookies around, and I for one am backing him to the hilt, to deliver us just what he envisaged 4 years ago.
Good Luck to all, just a little more patience required.
