Why is it that most investors here think that the BOD’s at GGP have any say in what price the current market cap of the company is right now. Because I can tell you all, they don’t, and that’s not me changing my position on how I feel my investment will perform in the future, it’s just fact.
What most fail to see is that, Shaun Day had a vision when he took over as CEO. His vision was to build a new mining company off the back of the Havieron project.
Now within four years, he has achieved that goal, and from a starting position of almost nothing.
When Shaun took over the reigns from Gervaise, he did so from an almost impossible position of only having circa £4 million quid left in the bank, and I personally think it’s a miracle that he’s managed to pull it off. Forget how much the market cap of the company was back then, because that wasn’t cash in the bank, and in no way helped him. The market cap is basically a figure set by the Market Makers (Banker’s) to try & entice us the punters to invest into the stock market, where you all know the results, whereby the banker nearly always win, and the only way they can win, is by making us the punter’s, cash in at a loss, and they will try every trick in the book for us to do just that. So long as you don’t give in to their underhand tactics, you’re still in the game and haven’t lost a thing apart from your sanity by watching your investment fall in value.
We’ve all got to accept responsibility that we fell for their tricks, not Shaun Day’s tricks, because he is still doing what he set out to and what you trusted him to do, which was for him to fulfil his vision of bringing a profitable mining company to market.
He has now achieved that, and given its still only a fortnight, most of you are still busting his balls, and that’s because you really didn’t have a clue what you were getting yourselves into, well you do now, and it’s just not what you expected. It’s not Shaun’s fault that the SP has fallen, it’s the (W)Banker’s who dangled their fat juicy worm in front of you, making it so appealing you bit. They’re the one’s who control the price fixing.
Now as a producing company, you have the chance to stick two fingers up at the bankers, by holding on to your shares and seeing your investment through, to what you first invested for, a nice tidy profit !
Even though time is always on the banker’s side, they can’t control what figures Shaun & the team start to put out regarding profits, and that’s were fundamentals come in. They will have to lift the lid on this sooner or later.
