Something is very wrong, market is totally broken, for a number of different reasons! For THG, the disconnect is uniquely amplified more than most for reasons we all know ;)

Research done by major US institutions, UK is deeply undervalued, at just 20-30% of US valuations on average, in THG's case maybe 10% if that, to their peers across the pond. UK is dirt cheap, the whole UK or Japanese stock market is smaller than say Google or Apple. When capital reallocation takes place, it will be a major pendulum swing. Valuations in the UK are a joke, hence lack of IPO's, many companies want to IPO or relist in the US. With low liquidity stocks, Eg THG, 80%+ are sticky holders, most dont realise how quickly things can change, the drop was totally overdone as we had a forced seller. Big funds will soon shift money from overvalued US companies to undervalued companies in eg UK, Japan. Are we at the start of a major pendulum swing?

Head of a global asset manager said, its much riskier today investing in overvalued US stocks, its actually much less riskier investing in hugely undervalued UK or Japanese stocks. Mmmmmm food for thought.

Most II have backed him for a very long time, before IPO! Remember, when this went upto £8+ they didnt sell 1 share (i bet they all wish they did now Lol). They believe in MM and THG.

Although he may have gone down the route of a Middle Eastern SWF this time, dont forget he has also worked succesfully with Big US PE before. KKR used to own 20% of the company. Bought originally in 2014, having sold out at IPO.

Interestingly KKR bought 20% for £100m. After nearly 10 years of growth and transformation, company growing probably 10-15x+ since, valuation today is only double from 2014. LMAO

If not very soon, with Golden Share now gone, it will be "knock knock" from the major PE firms very soon. With 3 separate major divisions, it's the perfect ideal textbook company for major PE. Buy it with leverage, sell 1 division in 18-24 months for multiples, 2 divisions left which they basically get for free. Not many companies can offer this optionality, hence why they are all over THG.

For LTH's just relax and put your feet up, like Kelso says all that trapped value has to be unlocked, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.

It's in black and white from his statement, more than 50% are happy to rollover in taking THG private, i.e. if PE have been explicitly told they cant have 51%!

Most II are investors with a very long time horizon, they back the company and their man, as long as they can grow (and not operate like they swimming through treacle everyday :)), private or public, they wouldn't bee too bothered. Unlike PI's nowadays, where most cant hold for 2minutes.

Therefore MBO will require 35-45% max to be bought out, the rest are happy to continue on the THG journey come what may.

Everyone can sense a major corporate event, they definitely have all the optionality in the world. Currently all clues easily point to an MBO, but who knows.

Since then they have raised £2 Billion+ at £5 and £5.96, and come leaps and bounds since, and completed the separation.

No one knows the ""real" valuation, could be £2.50, £3.50n hell there will be good arguments back to £5, but no chance in hell its anywhere down here
