It would have been near impossible discussing anything with a potential partner if the company was not a going concern.

The difficulty with dealing with valuations is that whilst milestones payments may be substantial, they tend not to add much to the Mcap as they may never reach fruition.

Again the AZ deal with RedX is an example. Up to £17m in pre phase 1 payments which were received. Then the deal was up to £380m in further milestones, but the RedX Mcap topped out at £150m and that includes all their other therapies. Then the project was ditched so they get none of the milestones.

FX, I think they can run concurrently or with little overlap. Thats reaching the limits of my knowledge of how these things work.

In my mind I'm allowing for a longer expanse of time than the typical 4-6 weeks for non-GLP, plus as I say I don't know if and when they start.

AZ historically don't like reprofiled drugs so they are less likely to be interested. They've talked to NFX before.

There are lots of other 'big' pharma companies in this space that are likely to be interested, many of which you will have never heard of.

AZ took it through phase 1 in 2023 but then dropped it prior to phase 2 in 2024.
