One major question is what is the status of NXP004?

With JH leaving, has it got to a stage where they know enough to submit the further patent or have already done so, so no further work required? Or was it a dead end?

The wider concern would be they are going it alone due to lack of interest. In which case they have said NXP002 will be ready in 2029.

The only reason to be slow on a takeover is if your a smaller / newer company trying to snap up NFX, someone like Oxilio or Ebers for instance.
Then the slow grinding down of sp is to their benefit.

The logical question would be, if someone is positioning to buy up nfx, why has it not happened yet? Why take so long?

It’s only valued at £13m so hardly big money.

Plus, what value would a new chairman bring before a buyout? He would be replaced on takeover surely? They only have one employee so he’s hardly guiding a massive ship, more of a pedalo.

FX, the IP isn't in JH's head alone. It is a scientific method that the company has patented, they will have detailed methods of how it works.
The company outlicense the IP to another company who will undertake the development and pay milestones as each are achieved. Therefore JH would only ever be providing consultancy advise anyway, she would never have been doing the actual development work.

I'd hazard a guess that commercialising that existing IP is the first and only priority.

That said he can't have been that interested in retirement as he stayed on in 5 other positions following that announcement.

I'd be asking 'Whats in it for me?'

Its a non-Exec role so not a salaried gravy train role.

Must have some sort of warrants as part of the appointment, otherwise I doubt anyone is coming just for the glory of closing up?
So therefore must be attractive enough to encourage them to help commercialise, to allow warrants to be exercised.
