Drax is right on the timelines, the patent was applied for in 2019, it’s not at the instigation of the current board. At least Anne has seen fit to rns this one unlike before, which in part answers Goups question on what Walbrook are doing.

As to whether it will improve the sp. again I agree with Drax, it is a piece of the jigsaw. Unfortunately we live in times where we are driven by traders who only seem interested in large number rns to get their next 2%, rather than company building information.

Drax, I guess if securing your primary product patent in the largest market on the planet isn’t your bag, then this news isn’t for you.

Not sure what the difference is, but the company updated their NXP002 patent for the United States and became public last week.

Agree older, those two drugs were the two that sat around the '£1bn sales for 2020' from what I could find, so as always its a guess. As you say there are quite a lot, all the way up to Keytruda (that Dave Tapolczay was involved with) which has sales over $14bn!

Having a bit of trawl through the possibilities of what NXP004 might be working with.
To me, at the moment, there are two products that seem to fit the criteria we are aware of, these are Ibrance by Pfizer and Opdivo by Bristol Myers Squibb.

Ibrance patent was updated for a further four years through to 2027 recently (Pfizer announced early Feb 2021) and I think Opdivo runs through to late 2020's from what I can find.

As you say FX, I think its less likely that we have two or more contesting the same drug.

Interestingly though when you look back at the company response to the Times leak, they said they were in talks with 'multiple potential licensees'. I guess none of them fancied NFX at the time.

Statement re. Share Price Movement


Nuformix, the pharmaceutical development company using cocrystal technology to unlock the therapeutic potential of approved small molecule drugs notes the recent share price movement and press reports. It confirms that the Company is in discussion with multiple potential licensees in Japan and Asia, including but not limited to its NXP002 programme.

Could well be, plus Ebers have a 'special meeting' at the end of this month lined up.

They would have leverage from competing companies who are interested in different NFX products.

Hypothetically they could have someone interested in NXP002 for IPF, and someone different interested in NXP004 for Oncology. If one tried to buy the whole company, the other might not be pleased.

In terms of inhalation feasibility, NFX have also worked with Vectura in the past.

There are a number of other companies who carry out such work as well, e.g Lonza in Cambridge

Typically NFX have used Fibrofind in Newcastle for the initial studies and Quotient for development work.
