Very solid start considering the price of oil and the wider market today. Wouldn't blame them for letting the market panic subside this morning before releasing the RNS. Should continue to creep up now.

Yes, MriG, entirely possible and I’d be more than happy if that’s the way it goes. An announcement of end of the month lending would be great. I do suspect a Vreq extension. Monday will be interesting, but no doubt full of opportunities also : )

Honestly, as much as I want it to, with the threat of an imminent lockdown and staff working from home for an indefinite period I think we may not see a re-lending RNS on Monday. Heavily invested here so would certainly like to be wrong. I know the staff CAN work from home but to throw this on them on day 1 of a new lockdown seems unlikely - unless it’s simply stating a start date for the end of the month for example.

Well, if we do have a rise in oil, $500m RNS and an additional Moodys revised rating on Monday/early next week then I can easily see an immediate 30p from our current level and rising thereafter in the weeks to come. All very possible : )

Yes, I think the same. No rockets, particularly given the market this week but 23-24p would be my expectation post RNS and a more solid investment going forward from there.

I would take issue with the person who wrote the previous RNS though. In the 'coming days' to my mind means less than a week but perhaps their perspective is different.

True. It does go up and down daily. However, it hasn't been this low for some time and does have some impact on the share price, albeit a temporary one.

Yes, massive drop in oil price today. I genuinely think we are holding up well considering oil and the wider market. If I were the TLW management team I would probably be waiting for things to stabilise a little before dropping the $1/2 Billion bomb for maximum impact. Releasing the RNS in a falling market would not be as positive for the SP.
Having said this, I would love to be wrong as I'm itching to slice and use some profits on some of today's other fallers. For the moment my hands are tied.

@darren I wouldn't say that 20-30% is flying from here at all for TLW. Perfectly fair reflection of value with 500m cash. There is a difference between telling the market you will have money and having actual money in the bank. This was 35p+ quite recently. I was invested at that level and TLW is in a better place now than it was then.

Who knows : ) It could be in 10 minutes time or it could be another week. In either case, not long to wait for a good 20-30% profit, which I do think it will be provided the market and oil prices are on our side.

Yep, I nearly came back into TLW at the 14-15p mark (having sold out early-mid 30's a while back) but hesitated as I was committed elsewhere. Lost out a bit but average almost bang on where we are now so shouldn't be long until a decent profit : )

Topped up also. No good reason for this going down this morning. Either shorts doing their best to drive it down or MM's taking it down prior to RNS to pick up more shares to sell. Why else would it drop when the oil price is rising and money about to land.

Yes, I agree. Essentially a confirmation of receipt of funds can be 'new' news. Important for TLW and worth an RNS even if it is something we already know. Reassuring for investors and the market to have the actual money in the bank rather than a promise/agreement on it.
