The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
For my sins I am back on board with a smallish anount a 2.7 so hopefully this is close to bottom. I think the meeting about the licence this month, and if we get a positive result from it. Will kick start the drilling campaign. Good luck all, glad Ds is gone, I quite liked him but couldn't trust him as I felt he was being played and manipulated by others. How hes able to get a job in that position I don't know.
Disapointing but no point in selling at this early stage.
Quick study. I think most long term would holders feel uncomfortable declaring DS as honest. I certainly do.
Gmcc point understood, but there's a difference in me offering you a million pounds, and me actually giving it to you ;-)
OK thanks all. Will fire an email accross anyway, but some good news will certainly be welcome here as its been a long couple of years. James is very experienced and hopefully has our interests in mind over the other bloke.
Tip top it was a rubbish attempt necause I was trying to be neutral in the way I put across my biggest concern. The oil is there, ds is ****e but James is better, drilling before 2020 means nothing as aaog hasn't hit one target yet. If we dont drill because the licence isnt firmed up what happens when the licence runs out? Serious question. Do we have first rights on the concession? Can it be taken over and we are frozen out? Does anyone know? If not I will email the company.
Republic of Congo has a corruption index of 19 (high). Think James is clearly having to tread carefully with negotiations and I expect the licence renewal is subject to government officials feeling suitably accommodated. I don't think we will be drilling until the licence negotiations are complete, as quick monetisation is our Trump card and the licence is theirs. The question is if all this risk is reflected in the share price. If licence is not renewed, then what?
Good rns, do they say when they plan to start operations? Can't see it.
Great Rns today. Another quick income stream, 50tph by end year 2020, logistics taken care of. Really getting on with the job now. Confidence grows everyday.
Barking your possibley right about them backing out, but they are existing shareholders. To back out would probably hit them more than continuing with the purchase.
Things are at least moving forward, its clearly more complicated to put the plant back together and intergrate it in to Lumberton than initially indicated. Solid progress made and hopefully September will see news on testing the plant, and producing tonnes of coalswitch day on day, ready to be shipped to our future customers. Hope they're focusing a good porpotion of their time on getting those offtake contracts. Whos going to the agm?
Well we thought a fundraise was on its way. All in all think the terms are OK and good to see they are planning for the larger plant. All in all this will be the last raise before revenue. Next raise to build the 50 tph plant possibly?
There may be chatter in the city about a take over, but this company is being marketed for sale, and if doc talks to a mate on the phone from London who says sound might be sold, then technically hes not lieing and it helps him exit his position at 9 or 10p. Sure he will buy again when the stock retraces. Perhaps there are offers being considered but I think we are going to have to wait until September to find out.
Patridge, I bought at 6 and sold at 15 for a bag and a half, which I invested in sihtcoin and sold for loads of money, which I then invested in the chuckle brothers fund, which came with a complimentary fez. Regrettably the fund was a front for prostitution ring and the money was seized by the authorities. Managed to salvage enough for a saveloy and chips. But I too will keep posting as im a winner and everyone shoyld know about it.
Well, to coin tesco, 'every little helps '. Although not a bad start.
This sucks. Still im holding on. I expect to drill the paleozoic and I am confident of a find, think we should have drilled it first rather than mess with the tagi after te8 and 9. There will be more gas around the horst. Worth mote than 7p. Problem here is we have no timescales so its a feeding frenzy. how low before it jumps back up? God only knows, I think I may have to stop looking until Xmas.
Come on fella, get real, 2 years before an offer. And are you suggestimg we will sit amd wait. If no offer I expect a lower risk drilling campaign proving up assets. Or we throw the dice and drill the paleozoic. 4 month deadline for an offer is my guess, no offer on the cards thats acceptable, we drill.
5 percent up on low volume! Not much but I will take it. Bit of interest here and we should fly, until then... Zzzzzzzzzzz enjoy your weekend all.
Longwait, brilliant idea ;-) glad a deal is being done medi. I reckon its that Jp got a great deal on a tesco meal deal and hes offered to buy the 'team' lunch tomorrow, which is a great deal for the 'team'. Deals being done all round at sound hq.
Excellent news, but no timescales so will probably be next year knowing sefton. Still, it looks like it will come, eventually!
