Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I agree hku, institutions need to get on board. I certainly hope once we have a functioning plant and some token revenue that institutions as well as pi's take some serious notice. Anyone buying now will surely make a killing.... Thats if we don't go bust on the mean time!
Ollie, not true, slate the Bod as much as you like. This isn't performing as anticipated. I believe there are positives but ive only lost about 50% since I invested, other are looking into oblivion, I understand. My sound shares have recently been wiped out. BUT I still think we are soon to be on the turn. I look at these boards as a place for all investors to talk constructively about the company and let off steam. AEG board lately is more about attacking other posters. It makes depressing reading. It sucks but its only money. I am not a rich man, but I know manners and civility are free. Dont feed trolls, they just come back for more.
I don't know why any of you post. All your sniping and repetative arguments make this board a farce. I cant wait until we get concrete progress and an intake of new posters. Badger your excused from this, probably the only genuine person on here, sure the rest of you are just paid to post endless repeating comments, no one has any insight, we are all just hanging in the dark.
Whos selling? This is surely the darkest hour, just as the horizon starts to lighten. Test reactors running, plant on site, Rapid..ish progress to revenue production, raw material agreements in place. Couple of months should make all the difference. Selling here is throwing money away.
Are people expecting offers etc before the fireside chat. Surely its way too soon for that, whilst I accept things may have been happening in the background during te10, we have only just put up the for sale sign and companies who havn't approached sound for the data presentation will need time to digest that information and formulate an offer.
I have told my wife to a degree, however, she doesn't know exactly how much we are in for or what our current losses are. I am confident at 42p average that we should break even or have a small loss. Although my confidence to date hasn't held water. When this is all over I will make a full confession if we're In profits. If in loss. I may fudge the figures slightly! Even so, my wife only feels sorry for me as 2 pound 50 a share bought a lot of dreams, and they are gone for now.
Nice news this morning, step in the right direction, nice to have the test reactors working to impress potential customers. Quite far to go from here but looking forward to further news in a couple of weeks hopefully.
Think they are trying to stop the shareprice falling any further. Not expecting anything new. But a clarification on te10 would be good, and an indication of interest for the asset.
Fair point, is it true that Brian cant buy if a deal is being negotiated. So this means no deal on the table. Buckle up, could take a while. Anyone know if this is true or not?
Nb, if anyone has some other golden opportunities, feel free to drop them into the conversation, for me, Aeg, hmi, sxx, possible hum are in consideration.
I have considered averaging down over the weekend, and decided not to. Over the years my main investment has been sound, and I've kept money tied up here, when other opportunities presented. So those opportunities were missed. If we are saying that the opportunity is 10 to 50p, there are opportunities like that all over aim, so I have decided to diversify and hopefully all I invest in will come good. Whilst I expect we will have an offer for the asset, there are no guarantees, and time slip concerns me.
Sorry to hear about your partner spredman, hopes for a speedy recovery.
Quite concerned about the health of some on this board with the anger recently. Sure jp et al are being trolled by those with more fragile constitutions. We need their focus on the job in hand, not potential jeremy kyle candidates. My advice, take a deep breath, concentrate elsewhere for a couple of months, and come back when we have some rns news, otherwise your all going to have heart attacks or something.
Nothing markets a company better than success. If Bod gets Lumberton up and running in the next few months, with offtake agreements, we probably wont need the extra capacity newfoundland offers, its unlikely newfoundland will quickly change their situation. In a years time with a good orderbook and a successful Lumberton, perhaps we can approach newfoundland and negotiate a better deal, given all the benefits of Lumberton. Newfoundland lost aeg as much as the otherway round. I don't see it as a complete negative. Aeg had their choice of sites and Lumberton won.
We wont have any guidance on prices UNTIL we have an offer to VOTE on. What we need to do is work out in our own minds what we feel the asset is worth so we can vote yes or no. Personally I would like guidance on timescales as im reluctant to let this drag on like brexit. But realistically I have NO power to alter this process. So I will wait patiently as I have since the days of sound oil, and support our Bod in their negotiations, if they can't get a price I can support.... Then I guess we produce from te5 and drill.
Jacklevie, I think its like a big game of deal or no deal, we had 1 bum box and a second medium box. Now were waiting for the bankers offer before we decide which box next to go for, te11, sidi, or take the deal.
Please excuse the typos, big thumbs, small phone!
Jp et al wanted te10 to work, it hasn't, shlum was positive, so jp et al were positive. Shlum couldn't make it work so jp et al have egg on their faces but. will be just as disappointed as us, but they have a job to do so they dont get to throw a tantrum, just like post te9, they need to get on. The seismics work, they found lots of gas at te10 and have indications of lots of gas elsewhere. The gas close to te5 of most interest. And the paleozoic play mist intriguing, especially as Algeria is all about paleozoic. Who comes next will need to find a way to predict pourosity. So I believe the data has value as does the asset. Sale price, who knows, but likely more than we have today if theres interest. I will wait and see, although I would like it concluded sooner rather than later. Personal note, I am gutted but oil and gas is high risk. Hopefully more than 50p will ne achieved so I can get my investment back. But writing nasty comments on a bulletin board isnt going to make the slightest difference. Day of venting is over, lets get nack to business. Time for Jp et al to man up and deliver, and I think they will achieve an acceptable dale price for the majority of holders.
Think we will just have to wait for offers, if there are any, for figures. Any figure jp mentions are meaningless until an offer is on the table.
Just woke up from a restless bad dream.. Into a nightmare. Hope the team will be forthcoming with a way forward sooner rather than later, afterall, they have contingencys in place for this likely circumstance we are in.
