Looking forward to the Devonian Discovery announcement......24 Dec 2021 12:06
Re the A8 Deep Well.
Think of the SY structure as an upside down bowl, the shallows at 2,500m have around 29 million barrels of 2P Reserves (I think), which is about to increase significantly with more wells/ production – SY shallow area Reserves upgrade mid-summer?
The deeper the drill bit turns the reservoirs area increases substantially in size and if they have 140m of live moveable oil down to approx. 5,450m in the Devonian then it will make the 29 million barrels of 2P Reserves in the shallows look like small change, even after the Reserves increase.
The Devonian is the prize and the question will be how far does the 140m of ‘gross’ oil bearing intervals stretch too - 13km-58km?
New deep wells such as A7/802 that are about to spud also targeting the Devonian will help prove up the boundary/ Reserves along with evidence already garnered from the other deep wells that have flowed initial live oil in the thousands of barrels per day – 6 deep wells producing 2-4K+ bopd? The point is there’s live 37 API moveable oil in the already drilled deep wells that will go towards estimating the Reserves P1/ P2/ 2C Reserves in the next CPR, interested parties will be flocking to the Data Room when it opens ($1 million entry fee for a look?), which it will when they’ve finished the deep well license obligations.
The Devonian could be a monster reservoir that flows light oil far and wide and with proof around the corner of a substantial Devonian discovery all eyes will be on CASP from 26km away ‘- ).
I know there’s been a few moans and groans about waiting for the 2021 FY Results and a new CPR 2023, but hey if you’re here for the big money and not chump change see you then, unless we get an offer we can’t refuse beforehand?
The share price will catch up soon enough.
Got to be in it to win it.
