The West Shalva Shallow Well is estimated to cost $3m, they don't have the dosh yet to spud it until the shallows sale has formally been signed off. imo.

If they had access to the $69.1m they've have already started work on the Airshagyl wells and released an Op's Update confirming so so imo they are still waiting on accessing the shallow dosh.

Has the West Shalva Shallow Well got the same name as the Block 8 P1/ P2 Deep wells? That's unusual?

CASP are in limbo operationally atm as I've said multiple times due to the KAS EM.

CASP have already RNS'd their future plans, but like I've said they can't proceed with any them until each block has been signed off, e.g. Block 8 is in it's third year of being handed over!

try get the fact into your head that casp are currently at the mercy of the kaz em signing off on all of their blocks and any operational news being rns'd is very limited at best.

perhaps you can explain in detail what operational news on each block casp can tell us about that isn't resting in the hands of the kaz em sign offs instead of your constant whining?

the p1 well flow test update good/ bad is due anytime if indeed it is being tested by the current owners of block 8.

"Airshagyl

A G70 rig recently acquired from Sinopec is being tested with the resumption of drilling at Deep Well A7. This well has a total depth of 5,300 meters but in 2022 was paused at 2,150 meters to allow another well to be drilled."

The G70 rig was used to drill a shallow well.

(815 Shallow Well not 813).

The full Shallows sign offs by the KAZ EM is holding up everything, looks like CASP won't dip into the $69.1m until it's formally completed (though they could get a bridging loan), this is what is holding up the 2024 FY Report being published, so we could be waiting way into September if the KAZ EM are anything to go by.

Also the G70 rig is on it's way to the A7 Deep Well site after drilling the 813 Shallow Well, so they actually have 5 rigs, the G70 rig successfully drilled the A8 Deep Well to boot.

I guess they stopped drilling the A7 Deep Well half way down to drill the815 Shallow Well to seal the shallows deal with AR.

Though the WS deal has been done the KAZ EM still have to fully sign it off so perhaps CASP are hanging back until the WS license has been fully signed off, then there's the $3m drilling cost, which if 'breathing on fumes' quote by Carver is anything to go by they haven't had the funds to drill the well to boot.

Note: If CASP's drilling company has been used to re-drill the two Block 8 wells P1-P2 and the Akkaduk well too then CASP could have used one or both of the rigs in storage.

After 4 months it's obvious they don't have the $3m needed to drill the well, hence the delay to spud the well, until AR dosh is accessible. The acid wash needed for P1/ A6 is probably taking up their spare dosh with legal fees and other rig mobilization to boot.

They should have enough in the tank to at least mobilize the G40 rig to the WS site even after acid washes, we'll get to know in the next Op's Update, imo.

It's been a while now since the WS acquisition was completed and I'm guessing they cannot spud the planned well because they do not have the $3m to drill it until the AR deal has been formally completed and the dosh is fully accessible.

Either way they could have mobilized the G40 rig to the well site along with the A5/ A7 Well rigs to boot........

Over a month ago the P1 Well had a 3m interval perforated.

Are the current owners delaying the testing of the well knowing Block 8 is imminently about to be handed over to CASP i.e. no benefit to them to test it cost wise - though I assume CASP are paying for the work?

Have the perforated holes become blocked with rocks/ fluid, have they decided to continue perforate/ drill into more net pay meters?

I think they're having to flush the well with an acid wash to get it flowing hence the delay, an update is due any day.

Gas sales are expected to commence mid 2026, so what's next for FOG in the meantime?

''At Deep Well P1, the well has been perforated across an interval of 3 meters from a depth of 3,391 meters in preparation for testing to commence.''.

Another month on - RNS due on P1 flow rate/ problems next week?

''As previously announced the Group is nearing the end of the process to acquire the Block 8 Contract Area, which extends over 2,823 sq km and is approximately 160 km from the BNG Contract Area.''

Equally 'the Group is nearing the end of the process to acquire the Block 8 Contract Area' - the end can't be far off after another month of processing the handover. If Block 8 is acquired during the suspension and the P1 well is also flowing together with $88m sale formally completed by month end - September? and with Airshagyl having a new 25 year license (plus Yelemes Deep 25 year license could be approved too before the suspension is lifted) the share price will no doubt open much higher if CASP can get each blocks pending approvals signed off whilst suspended. 

Block 8 RNS next week?

It's not enough ;-)

No doubt over the next 12 months CASP will have gone back on all the 9 wells that need testing and pulling pipes out and sidetracks etc. and we should see new reserves booked from Yelemes Deep, West Shalva and Block 8 within 18 months.

CASP will be a different animal as the share price will have steadily moved significantly forward by then with plenty of opportunities for the trolls like Gritster to exit along the way.

With $69.1m in their back pocket and the quarterly $800k BNG license fee covered by AR operations are about to take off. imo.

I guess you aren't aware that most of the 9 wells have already been drilled and only need testing sidetracking, LOL indeed!
