Rigs and forward looking..........5 Dec 2025 14:10
CASP have 4 rigs and the G70 rig waiting in the wings to drill the A7 Deep Well, which is still pending purchase ($750k?).
CASP currently have 1 rig drilling on the West Shalva license, which should be freed up in January, no doubt it will drill another well on West Shalva in Feb/ Mar next year (IF there's commercial oil there).
1 Rig was drilling the 803 Deep Well, which stopped drilling in Oct 2024, I'd guess it was moved over to Block 8 to drill one or two of the 5 wells drilled there along with the owners rigs - it looks like ALL the drilling costs on Block 8 have been bore by CASP.
This leaves the 2 rigs that are/ were in storage:
1 Rig will be being dusted off to drill the A5 Deep Well in Q1.
1 rig will go back to drill the 803 Deep Well to TD where the NY License is due to be approved THIS month, 803 test results this month/ January.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear the G70 rig has been mobilized in the next Op's RNS and it's on its way to the A7 Deep Well to start redrilling it to 5,300m TD.
That's where we are with the rigs. imo.
Note:
''RESULTS of chemical treatment UNDERWAY at Deep Well A6 on the BNG Contract Area''.
The A6 Deep Well results are imminent and if successful should help with lifting the share price to double digits, with another deep well (803) testing completed in January, Block 8 P1 Well sidetrack results due this month/ January and West Shalva testing this month/ January to boot - we'll have to wait until mid-year for the A5/ A7 Deep well results.
So all 5 rigs should be freed up by mid 2026 (others earlier) meaning we should see all 5 rigs in action in 2H again. CASP say they won't drill any more wells on BNG - what I think Carver means to say is 'exploration wells' and in 2H we'll see deep 'appraisal wells' drilled/ planned along with a FDP: Note: world class licenses don't have 26m boo. ;- ).
Some on here will always be looking in the rear view mirror, I prefer to look ahead.
