Given the the numerous references to m&a in the cap markets presentation they have something in the pipe for that cashflow. Literally every other page was reminding us about their expertise in bolt-on deals and integrating large complex assets. They also said they want to buy 2p reserves and focus on 2 regions with scale.

Neptune speculated previously. I think would be a great fit and ticks all boxes. I would be surprised if we still not seriously considering a merger

- Neptune is 75% gas. Helps with net zero agenda and also helps them to target institutional investors who won’t touch oil but gas ok.
- Neptune has 601m boe of 2p. That’s huge.
- Neptune would give HBR immediate production increase of 150k boe which is due to rise towards 200k over next few years.
- Neptune allows hbr to execute two region strategy as they have a focus on the North Sea (66% of production) and Asia (18% of production)
- Neptune also owned by PE who like HBR deals and understand IRRs and that a deal between 2 would create a cashflow monster with true scale.

IMO the deal between Aker and Lundin means this deal is more likely.

That news been around for a while tbh. They said they wanted all pcr to be multiplex a few months ago. Unlike our government the CDC actually give diagnostics companies time to adapt cos they have a plan. Unlike the dhsc and U.K. government that just reacts to fires after they start them.

Logistics. Fx. Demand blips. Covid. Will all play through in 1-2 quarters. This is good for the industry and boohoo as it flushes out the dead wood and send the weak companies under so the better ones come back stronger.

Lab capacity

I would suggest it’s on capacity and not number of tests that limits capacity. We do t operate or run labs and our machines are not used in the big labs.

What is happening now is exactly what should be happening. We DO NOT need a lock down or a circuit breaker. I heard 2 weeks to flatted the curve 20 months ago. And today we have 78k cases. How many years do you want this to go in for before you realise you can’t and won’t beat this with lockdowns.

Those who are worried are now clearly changing plans and staying closer to home. Hospitality seen HUGE cancellations. And you will get a lockdown anyway as so many people are now in 10 day isolation for testing positive!!! Will be millions in that bracket. Those who have had it, are vaccinated , are fit and healthy etc are carrying on and should be allowed to live Thor lives and also keep the economy, the educations system, the transport system etc chugging along.

It’s called freedom of choice and most importantly of all PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

I tested positive on n Thursday last week and got positive result on Friday. Was only notified Monday that it was omicron. So they are sending positive samples off for sequencing. I know yourgene have a contract specifically for this.

Hence there will be a lag of several days between vanilla positive results and omicron positives.

We are testing so many people with no symptoms. I have omicron since last Thursday. Not a single symptom. 2 more at my work do. Mild symptoms for 48 hrs.

The train done stop Camborne on Wednesdays…

It’s more likely we are buying someone than selling IMO.
