Thanks newtofo
I can't see any logical reason why origin wouldn't drill their program this year....if they missed getting a rig sorted,we would know by now.
I believe they're waiting for a particular rig/crew which is likely working another site and the seismic is likely being poured over as we speak
Like many on this board, there aren't too many that haven't m ade a few buying errors.
After the Amungee discovery,I was buying in 20s sterling and 30s cad at one stage.
Keep up the good work newtofo, wet water and others.
It's tough for long termers at the moment watching the paint dry.
In less than a year,we should, with any luck have a commercial asset...it will then be much easier to sit and wait out the final months or so before we cash in ,after a long exhausting wait

"stale bull"
Newtofo
As always, your answer makes perfect sense.
I assume we won't need to wait for pilot production to get a declaration of commercialiity?
I, like many here have become a stake bull, mouldy at this stage if I am honest.
Are you now still a bull newtofo as you certainly retain the enthusiasm and knowledge that you showed some years back
I need to see some action this year and another year wasted might be my last although I still believe the asset wild be a winner down the road
All the best

At the end of last year,Org seemed to indicate that the farm down process had commenced. Is it possible that a suitable candidate has been identified and they are sorting out the details prior to announcing a start.
I just can't see nothing being done this year and I really hope I am right.
Yes,you thought that any partner wouldn't be on board until after this year's program was completed.
Why did org launch the process of identification of a partner end 2021 if it wasn't ready to do a deal.
I appreciate your or anyone else that might have a view.
Any announcements on a high profile partner would be a big boost.
Finally, very disappointed, like everyone else with the lack of news.... disgrace really

Mr Albanese will need to stand up to the naysayers....the NT will die a quick death without future supplies.
It's baffling alright uncle Buk
The only consolation is our gas is getting more valuable every day!

Assuming we get going shortly on this year's programme and we get decent flow tests, does anyone have a path to a sale in mind.
Yes,we are all aware that a pilot production plan is on the radar.
Honestly,I think any likely sale would happen prior to then but that's pure speculation.
The entry of BS into the picture has been very encouraging for all the beetaloo players ...I am just not sure whatvhis intentions are?

Serious issues in Australia as we already know
All
There's an opinion peace in the Australian financial review headlined
"Without Australian oil and gas,Asia will burn coal and Wood."
The world gas conference is on in Korea last few days .Seems without fossil fuels, integration of renewables into the grid will cost billions more and likely halt billions in funding necessary for integration.
Unfortunately, article is subscription but the message is,get the stuff out of the ground, the rest will look after itself

No doubt Albanese will come under pressure from the climate activists to block development of the Beetaloo during the transition to power.
There is an illusion among some that we don't need nor will we need down the road, natural gas.
The lesson of energy security alone hasn't been grasped as yet let alone the collapse that would result in the Australian economy if the LNG facilities were left as stranded assets ,within a decade or so , which is what the experts predict should no new Nat gas be sourced from the beetaloo amongst others.
To be fair, labour supported the Morrison govt re the 50 million grant s being offered to speed up beetaloo exploration so he may recognise the problem already re the requirement for new Nat gas finds. As the winter approaches and LNG prices continue to climb,I suspect there may be a greater urgency, not alone in Australia but worldwide,to keep things moving with the likes of the Beetaloo,a stable economy in the right location for Asia in particular.
He may not be the friend that Scott Morrison was but his colleagues in the northern territory will be having a word in his ear!
Uncle Buk
Unless I missed something,I don't think there was an rns last year re securing a rig.
The only consolation here is that other operators haven't kicked off either so we are not alone in our frustrations
Newtofo,it may be a farmdown partner that has been advising on a favoured path forward. It wouldn't surprise me if a deal was near finalised although I know you think it's unlikely until flow rates are established.
It's difficult to get a handle on what's going on but at the end of the day,the Sheffield outfit didn't invest tens of millions of dollars in Australia for the fun of it and for me,that is one of the big positives going forward.
I suspect within the industry, the Sheffield s would likely have been in the picture as to what org might have been thinking on a farm down before they put their money on the table
JMHO
..... before the pilot program begins.
Newtofo
You seem to assume that the Sheffield crew had some input on this year's work program.
I thought falcon would have minimal input into what happens from here on given the most recent farmdown or am I mistaken?
If,as I believe, poq and the falcon team had little input into the pilot program proposed for 23/24,then I believe,if commercial flow rates are established, that there will be an offer before pilot program begins.
The Sheffield organisation took a stake now because they have done a bit of due diligence and it would shock me if they aren't looking at a bigger bite later on, particularly if the flow rates are decent. They could have waited until flow tests were complete but moved now. They will have first mover advantage and won't need a data room to assess any move they might want to make as opposed to an outside bidder that might be interested...in other words they will be ready to move at short notice.
Obviously, this is just my thoughts an I still see anaemic volume for the remainder of this year unless we get some news from our neighbours or as you say,a decent farm down deal from origin.
I, like dprussky was getting a bit impatient but I wouldn't sell now because a pilot study is proposed into 2024......I believe there is a decent chance, all going well that we will be near if not a deal
What I mean is former shareholders who sold out and want to get back in
IMHO
The drying up of volume could be an issue for a number of former shareholders who sold out due to frustrations, funds etc There are also shareholders who wanted to add along the way and I believe this will push the share price higher over the next few months.
The share price is perceived to be underpinned by the BS investment which I believe it is .
I can see 15 P prior to drilling and any indication from our neighbours of commercialiity will set this alight.
I am not a ramper but it's not a time to be out of this stock

Maybe org have secured a big name farm down partner ... that would be another huge positive!
There seems to be an experienced industry professional putting up some real money every day buying tranches of shares.I have tried but haven't a handle on who this might be but they are in every day and it's very encouraging as it's not someone taking a wild guess here I suspect
Stebol
I had thought the same and would be an endorsement of what's in the data room.
Newtofo makes a point though...it may be after the horizontal s should things go to plan .
Without a doubt,if TBN had shown below out number s,we would likely be expecting farm down news shortly, now I don't know anymore
