I agree that news will be forthcoming, I feel like the govt is focused on 2021 - the airport testing, the antibodies etc - in the case of the antibody test, the UKTRC at the present moment has maybe 2-3m available (total guess) - if the govt announced a national roll-out but then said oh, we only have 10% of the population, you will have to wait, will look pretty stupid?
That feels the same for say airport testing - again, something which is unlikely to be seen until 2021 due to lack of tests.
So this year, will be all about lockdowns and slowing the rate of transfer then bang, 2021 will be roll out of testing - Antibody to get those with immunity out and antigen to get things moving in terms of air travel / shows / offices etc
