Thing is, the place where ODX makes money is in Antigen tests - more profit and more production - the increased profuction isn’t for antibody tests (as shown in the presentation) but for antigen....

exactly - this is an Abingdon test and they will be making 75% of all orders so presumably will be coming out fighting very soon - the best response would be confirmation of the £75m order!!

I can't find the stats for Mologic - have they been shared anywhere?

I assume if they were compared at Heathrow, then the accuracy must have been pretty good since one of the 3 that they were assessing they binned as the sensitivity was too low.....

100% agree re the vaccine - "3) With limited vaccines doses, I would be surprised if they didn’t check for antibodies first. Why waste it on someone that is already protected when it can be used in someone else? This is a scare resource so it needs to be used appropriately. Aside from the -70 degrees storage needed to store the vaccines." - I would guess that the antibody test is significantly cheaper than the Vaccine shot!

exactly, and when they say looked at 55 LFT tests, as procurement for where I work, I may cast my eye over a lot of products but from the get go, I know the top 5 I want to get and test - I suspect they reviewed the 55 back in the Summer (remember Boris went to the Mologic factory) and then now we are at the point where the LFT's they want to use have been

Colin mentioned in the Q&A's that AVCT have been speaking to 3 manufacturers - ODX being the 3rd - just shows that there is interest and development all around.....

interesting, 73% sensitivity - that is a lot lower than Mologics and practically unusable?

A lot of searching!! - I will try to find it again, I wanted to compare to what they are using currently (Innova and SD) since they presumably are happy for mass testing with those two so since we know that Mologic test works, wondered where it placed us - will take a look after my next meeting....

I figure that the test is great quality (98.6% sensitivity) and relatively cheap and mobile.

* Been tested in Heathrow (think, how many other LFT tests could they have chosen from and only chose Mologic?)
* Been tested at government drive through centres
* Mologic is a UK company and also manufacturing (and in fact is manufacturing millions of this test for the developing world which for me is excellent when you see the covid numbers there)
* Boris visited Mologic back in the summer

So basically, this is a great test and so I can't see why the govt won't take it but if they don't then I am sure there is a lot of interest from elsewhere........

The Mologic test is CE marked hence it has been used in Liverpool / Nottingham / Heathrow to name but 3 alongside the other tests to asses it (by the government)

We know that it has high sensitivity and specifcy so has to surely be in the running?

In there phase 1, they came out and had SD Biosensor Lateral Flow Test (saliva) and Innova SARS-Cov-2 Antigen test (swab)

Mass testing is for antigen and as yet, we are not mass producing that YET......

The antibody test will not be used for mass testing in this way - that will be (I suspect) used more next year once the Vaccines are being rolled out to everyone

Investments need to be judged by risk reward as well - I think ODX is relatively low risk, but won't be lots and lots of bags.

AVCT I am unsure about - not really seen much from them and the CEO selling a big chunk just prior to awaiting update on testing to me is a red flag

GDR I like the look of and has the benefit of great partners

Positive - there is obviously a commercial demand for Superdrug to be wanting to sell them and risk getting into trouble in the process

I would doubt that when a better test (Mologic is available) - my spidey sense makes me think that they would want to maximize production massively for this one - I would not be surprised if they do something with that respect to massively crank up production.............

So for the antigen tests like ours (Mologics) and the ones UKGOV has ordered from China, they will or will not need MHRA to be used at home - I think from below just a CE mark ?

Do you mean sold to the public? I thought MHRA approval meant it could be used by the public without medical staff.

100% agree - I am holding, but I assume some people traded with my scenario hence the drop today....

My theory is:
- buy on Monday for @180
- tick the box to receive Accu shares
- sell today for @131ish

Then hope the Accu shares come out at more than 50p, you have made some money?

100% Innova - ours isn't ready yet, though does show the demand is 100% there and it won't be long until we join the party either, as Colin said, a Xmas present which isn't too far away (as my kids keep reminding me!)

makes it worse that the company is QDX!!
