The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
They both worry about ODX shareholders and are trying to save us?
It is odd mentality though, I have a few shares I think will bomb but have no inclination to go on there board and comment several times a day warning holders its about to go bust.
My take:
* MHRA have given a blanket approval as long as govt sign off that they are happy with the LFT - hence Innova covered (note the MHRA approval does not specify Innova)
* The issue last week was that MHRA said that they did not give permission to be used in schools the way the govt planned
* Once our test is approved by Porton Down, then we will also fall under the same MHRA approval
BGF have done pretty good - they invested back in Q4 2018 where the SP was in the 20's so doubled there money on the current SP - kicking themselves they didn't sell more higher when in the 100's but hey ho!
appreciate your advice and care Real112...........
haha
1 person moved from Omega to AVCT back in Q3 2020
That Omega guy posted he was was working on something with AVCT
Oh, so its not that the ODX world isn't coming to an end and we don't have a crap test? Who would have thought it ;-)
PS - Colin, maybe share with a few other people?

Below a reply to my email sent to Colin with reference FDA and i can post with His permission..
"It would appear that this more of an administrative issue, Abingdon are in dialogue with the FDA and they are currently reviewing the information that has been submitted. During that review the FDA reviewer wanted some reports to be changed i.e. test to be compared with RT-PCR and not ELISA , that data has been updated and amended reports have been resubmitted to the FDA
In summary we still expect to receive FDA approval and what I find encouraging is that Abingdon are in active dialogue with them
Regards
Colin"
when the US FDA announcement was RNS’ed our SP rose initially on the day but still dropped so its not like it had lit up ODX!
SP will depend on if we get an RNS
Remember for Odx, this test is only going to be 10% of production - it was abingdon who were going to significantly produce the test for non-uk market
My thoughts.....
Usually a simple explanation:
- USA a big market and a lot of tests already available
- Expensive - need staff on ground plus to send tests, travel costs + tax
- potentially not had loads of interest
- to move to
If you have interest in markets closet to home that don’t require large travel costs and tax on top, focus on them
Voluntarily remove FDA listing? Maybe costs money to move to next level of approval? maybe some kind of US partnership where the tests are labelled under there name?
27 countries.....how many are there in the EU, an area with 0% tax for scientific things....
Maybe a coincidence on numbers?
you would hope it shows that the UKGOV likes the test and so will want to use ours - wouldn't be a great look if they offloaded a test to developing world but didn't use it themselves!
UKGOV demand according to there plan is 2m per day - thats a massive demand - I have no idea how much the smaller non public firms are but if you can get 1/5 of that volume from one supplier rather than lots of multiple, I know what I would do as a purchaser - but thats maybe me being optomisitc!
I would also hope the Mologic funding for the GAD (and therefore tests for developing world) shows the govt like the test as they are essentially giving it to people in the developing world.
Remember, ours is saliva - that is MASSIVE- its what AVCT was /is going to do - saliva is more accurate and preferable for users than having a bud stuck up your nose!!
my employee emplys 50k in UK and is talking about offering LFT testing in our offices - heard a few companies planning to do it so not just reliant on government deals - not sure after the UKRTC I am too keen on deals with the govenment!
@Oranolio1. Global demand just makes the fact we have sold didly so much worse
Still waiting for the massive sales in India !!!
- can’t sell UKRTC test yet until govt give us thumbs up etc
- antigen test we are tech transferring currently so don’t currently have an antigen test
and if the SP booms, then my GF will have a great valentines (at home!)
So no real news this week - Omega communicated that TT is ongoing as well as later in the week tweeting about the study that showed antibodies were created from illness and lasted at least 5 months. Hopefully some news this next week and a bit less negativity from Guardian / Sky on the LFT's - they are not all like Innova!
Summary of week
opened : 55
closed : 57
High of week: 59.50
Low of week: 52
anyone see that coming when they delayed testing into the UK?
Geez, error after error by these muppets!
dumb question - I know about github but why is it open like this for anyone (with more tech ability than me!) to be able to view the code?
AVCT is a funny one - there LFT delayed quite a bit - BAMS not sure about, though the SP is holding up pretty well all things considered so I assume something is coming.....
I did similar - hopefully ODX pop first then AVCT - thats the plan anyway !!
