A company does not increase a short at this record low level unless information on figures has been released. Got a feeling the shares are about to drop heavy on results day. The atmosphere and tension is building up that way. Fortys, maybe even thirty. Surely the board must be made to resign on the same day.

Maybe or the figures have been leaked by management. Bizarre as it sounds are they making money from this ?

0.09% is substantial number. Doesn't bode well for results, only hope now is we have a potential NA bid. Otherwise down to 40s unfortunately. Whats everyone else's thoughts?

Agree Paddy was using the buses as an example as price hikes need to be addressed across all business segments. Can we trust these guys to negotiate a good price for the NA business when they are not even getting basics of business operation right.

In the 50s we go, majority of us are fighting to just get our money back at this rate. Easy to say long term this will come good but with these clowns at the helm we do not stand much of a chance. They can start by getting basics right and increase the prices on buses, yes they are getting funding from the government but that does not cover turning into a profit. We're not a charity ! Not rocket science, if your going to give a 16% pay rise to drivers or whatever it was then that gets passed onto fares. Rather have e.g. 80 passengers on the bus paying £3 rather than 100 paying £2. People will still catch the bus as what is the alternative, every other mode of transport is more expensive by at least 50%.

We as shareholders must revolt !!

A lot of panic being caused by markets tumbling which is normal but let's not forget this sp is ridiculously low and won't drop much unless there is a bad rns. Cosmens are doing no buying until the figures are out as they know investment funds as well as us won't be buying either so only way is steady or down for now. The board have enough chances in my opinion and should do the right thing as I've said numerous times : resign and get out of house! Go and restart your CV at some company a tenth of this size as clearly this job is too much for them to chew. Only a matter of time before Cosmens turn on them and have them out if this rns is bad.

If starts to drift below 50p that means company is about to file for bankruptcy in my opinion and might seems ludicrous right now but it cannot be ruled out if they cannot get the NA disposal at right price. More chance of moving upwards than down now as so downbeat so next move downwards will be take a major catalyst in my opinion.

I'm sure we're producing a lot more revenue than we was 30+ years ago yet we're less than half that. Management are mostly to.blame as we know, just shows if the market has no faith in the board the financials don't mean much which is a shame. Really think that the west mid buses should be axed, we're only continuing to lose money and will do unless we increase prices by 50%.

Totally agree, very bizarre how the market works with most interest fixed yet any rate cuts and this stock is up 7-8% on a good day. In all honesty most of the bad news is out there and management have lowered their EBITA forecasts so would just be embarrassing if they do not meet that figure as they are the ones that set that figure forecast range. Can only see good news potentially from this update with regards to better profitability potentially with increase prices kicking in and possibly a glimpse of something positive regarding the NA sale. Management cannot do any worse now surely....

64% chance of a rate cut by June investors anticipating so if that happens and a positive set of results in next couple of weeks should get above 80p again. Reckon will need another positive catalyst to continue upwards from there. Just my opinion what's everyone's thoughts ?

A high CAPEX business like this will always have a high debt level, it is how management illustrate the debt is being managed and profits continue to grow which so far since 2020 has been very little. No update on NA sale as well as zilch on Q1 24 performance is concerning. Very clear that we need a new direction in management now and the CEO and his assistant need to do the right thing and resign. Enough is enough and give someone else the chance to salvage what used to be a good, well run company back to where it should be.

No one will bid before results very unlikely. Have to wait for figures before any bid to come.

Six months deadline will be looming not sure exactly what date but if they miss then as we know trading will get suspended like happened with Go-Ahead couple of years back. In all honesty IMO the market should suspend trading until results are revealed and teach these time wasters a lesson. Least we cannot drop anymore !
