Never good to see a short increase but this is quite regular with stocks and sometimes they're looking to make a quick buck out of a 4-5% movement then bail out. With rate cuts hopefully starting next month this should boost the s.p back to the 70s and then it is for the new CFO to deliver. Frustrating that the Cosmens are not buying at these low prices as that would stop any shorts from shorting.

The new CFO needs to be all over this and turn round to the government and state either accept the price hikes or find another operator because we're not a charity and we are not going to continue to lose money. Believe the contract is up in January so should be reaching a decision by autumn. Personally I think we're better off axing WM buses, more hassle than it's worth especially if there is another round of strikes.

Sometimes shorts get carried away and do get it wrong so like a few have said will be interesting to see in next couple of days if they start to reduce and a good outlook on Thursday from the bank of England may continue the market rally

They need to reduce a lot more than a 0.02%. I'm more concerned about this getting kicked out the 250. How much of a drop would that cause, any thoughts?

Unless Cosmans buy I don't see how this can keep rising unless the market keeps going up but that's highly unlikely with this country. We're not the US. The CEO resigning will lift the sp 10% overnight in my opinion. He needs to end his tenure by resigning before we have him out the door.

Nice to be back above 60p but let's be honest it is only because the ftse has hit a new record which has helped the 250. I think it's imperative we break 65p this week towards 70 to stand a chance of staying in the 250 as otherwise a lot of funds will start selling this if they see relegation looming!

Next reshuffle is in June I believe ? Looking at the chart one from bottom. Believe around 5 companies change so if we don't get to 500m mega cap we don't stand much of a chance.

Markets reacting well to fed speech across the pond. Don't see any reason why we can't hit 60p+ tommorow. Mr Garat is probably hoping to as his on borrowed time !

Well said, nothing to dance about. Over 60p and we might see something positive brewing.

I can't see interest rates rising with a general election round the corner. Was just watching the news and talk about making buses under public ownership again would not be such a bad thing of were losing money. Either that or get some backbone come January and increase those prices 25%. We'll see if the new CFO has any.

To give the stock price a boost Ignacio Garat needs to go and his successor announced on the same day. We need a new team at the top now, a team that have the knowhow and don't blame macro conditions when the slightest bit of pressure comes on them. Share price has been falling nearly 2 years. Stamp going with some of the old team still there is not good enough. That man needs too be shown the door ASAP.

Maybe another 1% increase in stake from the Cosmens then will get pushed down tommorow by the shorts ?

Will be sitting on toilet a lot longer yet, can see this getting nasty. Maybe low 40s unfortunately

Everything just seems to be against us at the moment and while we can chat all day on here that this is a good company which don't get me wrong it sure is, it just needs a change in direction and innovation. Shorts are just playing mind games, ones that have held this long won't fall for their tricks !

Just had my AA membership qoute.

Last year £67. This year £90. That's a 35% increase. There lies our problem. Fares are way too cheap. Prices need too go up big time.

This mess all comes down too management.

Share holders need too call a vote of no confidence and show this man the same door as Stamp

Really frustrating where this share has ended up but an inside buy surely shows that a bid will not come now in next few months as that will be inside trading? Guess no one knows what's going on.

I don't think Cosmen will buy the remainder that fast with the way this is falling and the market turbulence. Might see another increase from Systematica and Glg in the meantime. Reckon will be another month or two before they look to add and that could well be in the 40s.

Agree mavswf by far the worse investment I've made to and the management should be ashamed of themselves letting the s.p get this low. Let's face it, we could have done a much better job !
