Now I know that Bhp the world's biggest miner have got it all wrong and made a massive mistake investing not 1,2 but 3 times and have already tried to buy a 90% share in solg.

There is also nothing to say that bhp and ncm weren't offered the option to purchase more and it's plausible that they wanted more favourable prices other than paying fair price as Franco did.

The big boys can't wait forever and neither will the Ecuadorian government.
They have been somewhat protected in the courts so will be expected to get the show on the road.
I believe there are timeliness to be met with ensa and cascabel and dare say the same with Porvenir.
If Bhp don't move they may find themselves battling it out with another major and then the question will be why did you wait so long and end up paying £8b for the resource.

That's a fair shout and when I think of cgp, black rock, Nick , tenstar and dgr they are all here with low buy in prices as I guess are most of the pi.
So yes I believe it would be possible and don't but that it would have to be the npv to succeed although I'm more than happy to be wrong.

So it seems it would be very difficult for any our holders to pass a low ball bid as they would need 75% -90% to pass.
And in the meantime bhp are still not near the 30%-50% needed to make a full offer or change the board although I dare say they are pulling some strings within the board.
So we carry on and get funding from bhp, ncm or another interested party and see what moves are made.

I shall stick my neck out and day a majority is needed so I've 50% but i think the reality is they would need 90%.
