H1 revenue of $3.0 is more than double H1 2021 and greater than the total revenue for 2021!! Hold on to your hats this week is going to be epic!!

I missed the start of the presentation and watching it now the line that sticks out is how the $750m addressable potential market has now grown to $2.3Bn with their new plant based super absorbent. That is a tripling of the addressable market and it’s in high volume products like nappies and women’s sanitary products. No wonder JS is so excited! Over the next couple of years these shares could be the best financial investment I’ll ever make.

Yep confident indeed! If you look at the time of the transaction it was at 8.44. Compare that to the other transactions either side of 8.44 and it has to be a BUY

Glad the trading update wasn’t today as managed to squeeze in another 17k shares top up. My logic is the trading update has to be good otherwise they would have done the consolidation by now if they had any nervousness over what impact the trading update would have given the consolidation can only go ahead of the share price is above 4. My portfolio is very Itaconix heavy now circa 60% which goes against all the rules of sensible investing.

I imagine I’m not the only investor who has spent the weekend nervously excited about the week ahead.
Apart from the obvious H1 figure and projection for H2 I am also hoping there will be an update on the Plant Based Super Absorbent products given what was said about “Itaconix 3.0” on Wednesday. I imagine this is the area likely to have the biggest impact on future earnings though it won’t be until 2023 that we see a real impact starting to come through based on previous information.

Itaconix 3.0 with the technology platform we now have much higher ambition with our next generation of Plant Based Super Absorbent products.

Another “speculative” thought to put out here…
The share consolidation was approved a week ago but still hasn’t been actioned. Suggests to me that they want to wait for the trading update before they transact the consolidation. Might also explain why they are fast tracking the trading update. i.e. positive trading update boosts the share price and then the consolidation multiples the share price ten fold. All of a sudden you are selling to potential new investors at a share price around the £1 mark. Sounds a lot more attractive than 5.8p a share doesn’t it?

Interesting thoughts AJP. I’ve also been pondering the recent increased profile, consolidation (to make more attractive to USA investors), high profile board appointment with further appointments to make.
JS is clearly a man on a mission who long term wants Itaconix to have integrated bio-refinery plants in both the US and Europe (as per Wednesdays presentation).
I also feel something big is coming.
I still fancy Tuesday or Wednesday for the results as you’d think they’d want to double check everything on Monday following the weekend and they are 5 hours behind. I am cautiously very excited for next week.

Quiet trading now in the run up to next weeks trading update. After last year’s disappointment everyone is cautiously waiting to see what revenue H1 delivered and any new projections.
Current assumption of $1.4m plus 40% which is circa $2m is reflected by the current share price. Anything below that would send the share price down and vice versa.
I have spent the last 2 weeks adding shares so that tells you which side of $2m I believe we will land.

JS described how the company as follows:
Pre 2018 Itaconix 1.0 developing the current generation of products
2018 to present Itaconix 2.0 Rolling out the first generation of products. 40% compound annual growth. Growing to $20 to $40m revenue with what we were doing right now (Cleaning, Beauty, Hygiene).
Itaconix 3.0 with the technology platform we now have much higher ambition with our next generation of Plant Based Super Absorbent products. Before we were $50m now we are looking at much higher revenues. New horizons. Bigger revenue opportunities out of the technology platform we have.

Justdeezerts that feels like quite a negative spin on the recent board changes. We don’t know who voted which way and there is no suggestion of any controversy. If there was a controversy I doubt the vote would have been so close!
More likely that the new investors are having more influence on how Itaconix evolves and they want to ensure the company has the right team in place to take them to the next level (but that’s just my positive spin on the announcement lol)

I see that Peter Nieuwenhuizen holds directorships and partnerships with both In Ovo and PeelPioneers who are both part of the ECBF venture capital fund.

4 things stand out about the new appointment:
1. European / International background
2. Outstanding Chief Technological Officer career
3. Venture Capital background
4. Strong academic background in chemistry and low carbon field

Agree. H1 likely to be $2m plus. Made two more top ups this morning (10,000 and 20,000).
Wonder which day the share consolidation will take place? Looking forward to Wednesday’s presentation.
